Its a bit of a weird one, cos when i make the report its a nice big size, but when i save it and upload it, it shrinks an absolute load. Ok, i'll probably go back to day to day reports then.

Yeah, it is cool to see someone riding (well) with a bad continental team. Plus, you wont be going up anytime soon, so it should be interesting to see who you try to sign. |

Yeah, but it will be hard to sign reasonable riders with Auber 93, so next year you may not improve that much. You will probably have to homegrow riders to get up to a top level. |

Stage 5 of the Bretagne stage race could well provide a crucial kick to those looking for overall victory.
With a nice amount of mountains points still up for grabs, again Malacarne took off on the downhill where other riders were less willing to follow. By the time he was up and over the first climb he was a minute clear of the chasers and 2minutes clear of the bunch.
He sat up a little to allow himself a bit more of a breather, and was caught up by 2 more riders, he still took the next two climbs though, but before the penultimate climb, more riders had attacked across to the break and he wasn't feeling good enough to keep going, so again we told him to sit up and roll in in his own time.
With the pack putting down the pain, and the sprint being a short 1.3km affair, we made sure we had Morizot up there and whilst Gaudin couldn't get away, Morizot felt very good sprinting and followed Rodriguez to a classy 3rd. The winner of the stage gained not a great deal as he had already lost a fair amount of time on previous stages.

Thats why im trying to get as high in the rankings as i can, and also am scouting in a hope to find some good riders. A key i think to promotion is winning the easy races - ie ITTs with some really good time trialist.

Stage Six whilst meant to be a 7.4km ITT turned out to be 5km. Which im sure was a let down to those time trialists, but to our team, it was a blessing, as less time could be lost!
Malacarne was the first off for us and set an early best...for the length of 3 riders.
With the daily form being the decider between a top 10 position in GC and a top 20, we hoped that both Morizot and Gaudin would be feeling it today, but when Drujon rolled out with a +3, we knew it wasn't going to be our day...
A rider tipped to do well in this stage was Jos Pronk, and he didn't fail to provide as he came 2nd.

Before the final stage of the tour of Bretagne kicked off, the other half the squad was off to the Tour de Vendee. We thought this would be a pretty useless excursion seeing as our main two sprinters were already racing elsewhere.
Having to field 8 riders meant that underform Belkov, Mederel and Mespoulede would have to start.
As soon as the race began, all three of my riders got back into the warm car and just chilled out. The tactics for this race would be to see who had the legs to get to the finish... Well after half the race was run, it was obvious Jollet hadn't and he went out the back.
So with only Brouzes capable of being able to sit in the bunch long enough to sprint, we had him protected with the last 2 riders around.
A group of 5 went off the front in the dying kilometres to contest the win, which was fine by us.
Pineau took it in style by having 10 points better sprint than the other riders.
Surprisingly Brouzes took a top 15 place for his appearance.

The final stage of the Bretagne stage race and we were looking to keep our two top 10 places in the GC.
From the start there were plenty of attacks, but none that were allowed to go, so with 4km to go to the first sprint, Gaudin went for it, the extra few seconds would put him up a place in GC if the end sprint didn't affect anything.
He took it, and with it a few extra euros and seconds.
A break finally got away with no one serious in, and with Malacarne safely in the mountains jersey, he stayed in the pack today to enjoy the feeling of having won his first French jersey.
With two tiny little blips on the profile, we weren't too worried about getting Drujon to the finish line ready for a sprint, but they must have taken something extra out of him and so he struggled to get a good place, with Gaudin and Morizot both getting ground back at him in the sprint.
The rabo continental squad pretty much destroyed this stage race, and stole the GC on the last day.

Nah, promotion this year i have Belkov and Levarlet just getting ready to race again and they are my best two bets for points this year after Drujon and Gaudin (who i noticed in the DB is actually fairly rubbish potential!)
Trophee des Grimpeurs
A rather hilly route which we expected would come down to a penultimate lap attack.
To this end, we sent one of our crappy riders in the break, and then realised 3/4 of the way through that they would run out of energy, and the break was going to succeed
So in an attempt to get a top 15 place we set him to go at his own pace. He still bonked, so off went Morizot, and so did Joly, Pineau and others.
The sprint was between the first 3 on the road.
Well played to the pro tour teams on screwing my chances up

Unless the gap has closed considerably since the last time you posted the standings, I think you're being a tad too optimistic, but if you can do it, it will be a great acheivment
