Volta ao Algarve

Stage 3-Lagoa-Lagos-208.7 km.

A long stage with a pretty decent climb to start the last third of the race. I wouldn't be shocked to see the peleton split, as alot of guys are still in pretty poor form. Gonna keep my options open this stage, look for opportunities, but by and large just another "training race" for Team Discovery.

Race Recap
A Portugese rider won the race today, making the home crowd happy. Candido Burbosa won the sprint, just besting Gerolsteiner's Markus Zberg who snags his 2nd podium of the season. Petacchi finished third, and keeps the overall lead. Half of Team Discovery was unable to finish with main group. (White, Van Loocke, Li, and Cummings.) Although in Cummings case, it was due to a breakaway that he was asked to join. Egoi Martinez is riding extremely well, and Popovych and Paulinho look better every day. With more hills in Stage 4 and 5, they may be able to do something. Cadel Evans finished dead last again today, its pretty funny seeing him murder himself this early. I won't be laughing in a few months though I'm sure. Gerolsteiner has 3 rider's in the Top 10, including U-25 leader Stefan Schumacher.

LOL...yeah there are several typos I've noticed in this database. I don't bother to correct them...maybe I should. Muos should be Moos I believe....Baden Cooke is Baden Coake...there are a few others...


It is because Cyanide couldn't get a license to put real team and rider names in the database. That is why there are other Databases made. PCM spain is the best for 2007 in my opinion.
