MOORE UNHAPPY AT RUMOURED THOMAS AVOIDANCE
Team Cymru Wales rider, Steve Moore, is apparently unhappy at rumours that the team is avoiding signing Geraint Thomas. When quizzed about the rumour, Moore stated:
"I simply would not understand it if the rumours were true. I joined this team to be part of this great Welsh thing, That means we need a Welsh leader. I simply can't explain any circumstances where that would not be Geraint. He is the best Welsh cyclist and likely will be selected in Round 5. It simply seems inconceivable to me that you wouldn't make a play for Geraint. |

Kids, this is a story I haven't told you yet. I was actually a professinal road cyclist before I met your mother. And this is the team which made me famous. You probably saw me riding a bike from time to time, but you can't even imagine how good I was in the hills.
As you probably know, your mother is a big fan of cycling, and she was there when I had one of my greatest victories. That was the moment when we had our first eye contact. But that's another story...
This story is about my cycling history, which was actually quite successful. It really began in 2012. I have had some results before, but only on national level. That year though, everything changed. I was contacted by Team Cymru Wales, one of the most promising new british cycling teams.
Those days I really wanted to leave the good old USA to get some fresh air, so it was two birds with one stone: This was the beginning of the few years I lived in Cardiff. I can tell you, first it looked really small after the Big Apple, but you can really get used to it.
Back onto the subject... Are you even paying attention? I have been rambling around, talking about unimportant stuff like always... I was about to tell you my story about how I became a famous cyclist. So in December 2011 I was contacted by a friendly manager who offered me a 2 year contract with Team Cymru Wales. I knew I had to accept it. This way - after my career as an architect collapsed (quite literally, but that's another story) - I finally had my financial problems solved at least until the end of 2013.
And then... You are already half asleep, aren't you? Alright, I will continue this story next time. Be patient, we are really getting close to the time, when I finally met your mother.

SKY SPORTS NEWS has just received confirmation that Double Olympic Gold Medal winning cyclist Geraint Thomas has signed for the newly formed Team Cymru Wales cycling team for next season
Geraint Thomas
Thomas has just confirmed the news on his Facebook page and said that he is delighted to be signing for the first Welsh Professional cycling team and cannot wait to meet up with his fellow team members to start training for the new campaign. Whilst its with a heavy heart that i left Team Sky, i just couldn't turn down the chance of wearing the Welsh Dragon on the roads of Europe and in the worlds biggest races
