Great job by Jan, it's a shame Boonen could not finish it, but Roelandts was the strongest today |

Great job from Jan to support his leader's needs and still finishing in top 20. this is sign of a great rider coming for the future. His brother is a fighter too, but it would be probably better to stay at home with that illness.

Jesleyh: I agree Thanks!
Daggen: The sprint was even more painful to watch, getting closer and closer and then staying at the same distance...
Jakstar22: Thanks!
juszta: Yeah he definitely was the strongest, maybe Boonen will score in Kuurne
Avin Wargunnson: Thanks, they're both fighters on the bike Maybe he'll forfeit K-B-K.
sutty68: It was a great day for him and he was also a bit lucky that he was able to hang on in the front group!
ste_18: Thank you!
FreitasPCM: Thanks for saying
Daggen: I wonder myself. It definitely won't be in a race as this, but maybe in an upcoming race when he can ride for himself |

Great job from Jan
Do you think they'll ever be good enough to lead the team? |

I just can´t understand how good you are in writing... I was like oh man I´m going to sleep I don´t feel like reading it and then I read the first few words and I came here feeling good about how our young gun did one hell of a job for Tom.
keep it up here you have for your writing |

PCM rulezz: Yeah, no Vanmarcke but Roelandts here Thanks!
francopell: Jan's potential should make him leader one day, I think. Bart will be a protected rider at the maximum, I think. The youngest one is definitely the most talented one.
JuanMotr: Wow, thanks a lot for that comment! You're too kind, man, thanks a lot Great to have you follow every single story I try to create! Hope this one goes a very long way! |

Kuurne - Brussel - Kuurne
The race of today takes us from Kuurne to Brussel and back. There aren't too many cobbles so big sprinters like Cavendish appear at the start of this prestigious race.
When I first saw Tom this morning, he asked me how I felt today. I said I was quite all right, and I'd try my best again today. "Good, because you're leading me out again today."
I couldn't believe it. I'd heard he's a great guy, his support is very important to me. Then came the bad news that Bart stayed in bed, he wouldn't be racing today. We had no one who could fall in for him so we started with 7 riders this morning.
My fellow cyclo-cross team mate Stybar managed to breakaway today.
The peloton stayed moretheless together so Sylvain Chavanel blew the lid off the pack on the last (rather long) cobbled section.
The plan worked and sprinters as Greipel and Cavendish lost touch with the peloton.
And then it was up to us again. Stybar, Terpstra, Chavanel, me and Boonen.
Finally, after a nervous couple of kilometers, I launched the sprint!
Oh sweet lord! I finish 2nd! I couldn't believe it, no one passed me after Tom did! It was just the perfect ending of a perfect race. It had everything I crave: cobblestones, lots of rain, slippery narrow roads and finally a finishing sprint with a minor group. Tornado Tom proved to be the greatest classics rider the world's ever seen and I raced myself into the picture!
During the podium ceremony, Tom said only one thing to me, one sentence that meant more to me than an entire book could: "One day, this place will be yours."
I'm just blown away, ecstatic, amazed! I've to go now, I'm throwing one hell of a party for some of my friends! Booze up!
Just read Jantje's review and I noticed he forgot to post the results in his enthusiasm. So here it is:

I'm very proud of him. He just had the perfect day and got himself some local fame. Though I hope he doesn't let this race affect his training and mentality. It's not because you finish 2nd here, you're in. He still has lots of things to learn. But today that doesn't matter. The victory of Tom matters, and Jantje's contribution to that! |
