I had some stories. Didn't run long, because of the time consuming reports, but at least the presentations were of pretty good quality, and I'm sure others think that as well.
Now I'm not trying to be offensive to anyone, but I don't think most of the new managers have any experience with writing stories, or even are going to be active, judging from their amount of posts.
The new managers weren't only chosen judging by how active they will be. It's also very important how productive that activity is going to be. And based on the applications you can see who would be better at being a manager.
Stick around next year and you might get a team and maybe you'll have a even better idea of to manage it. valverde321 can confirm you that.

This isn't about stories. This is about taking the time required to finish something you have started. I have never written a story here. Heck, I barely post anything outside of the man-game on this page. But this didn't stop me from telling, and proving that I do have the time and are active enough to be selected for this manager. (Not sure if admins can see how much time I spend on the forums, but I read a lot.) Granted, I did get into this in the most usual way, but if I remember correct, I too had to convince SN and the rest of the crew why I could be an addition to the game. I do not think I am the best addition, but I am certain that I am not the worst addition, either. I have always been active during the season. And I am one of the few "gimmick" teams out there. (Check my Team thread if you need more info about that.)
You bring up your stories. That may actually be why you didn't get selected. You say it yourself, you don't finish them because of time restraints. The same restraints you mention here might be affecting the entire manager game, in a bad way. You might end up being unable to participate and delivering race plans, goals and transfers. This will increase the wait for the entire manager if it happened. Visuals aren't everything.
I am sure there are more things to be said, but I lost my train of thoughts, so I'll let it go. (SN: Do you remember exactly what the situation was when I joined the man-game?)

Again, stop whining.
As already explained, activity isn't everything. Application quality was very important as well.

This. You're not looking any better for the next time if you keep complaining like this.

You guys need to calm down. So well, you didn't entered the Man-Game. The world is not going to end because of that. I didn't entered and you don't see me crying around. Try next year, we hope that next year it's our time to enter it. |

I think I've already made my point, pointless to discuss about that further.
I perhaps was acting like a spoiled child, and I apologize for that. I was just frustrated I wasn't selected after following the ManGame for a few months now.
Well, hereby I again wish the new managers good luck, and remember to prepare for next season, because I am going to beat you all

I didn't get picked, and I am not upset guys. Just relax and go at it again next year. I was looking forward to applying this year, and had a feeling I might not get chosen because of my lack of knowledge and first time applying.
I intend to apply again next year, and will still be active on this site until then

Just going to say, when I wasn't accepted on my first try, I understood why. I was basically a spammer and had no quality posts.
I improved on that, and tried to contribute to the site. I was motivated not to post more, but to post "better" I worked on my application a few months in advance, so that it described why I felt I should be picked, and my plans if I was picked. I knew that the application was very important, and I made sure mine was a high quality. My plan when I first applied was to "make the best team I could" not very descriptive, and certainly doesn't describe my vision. So the 2nd time round I thought about it, and had a clear plan on what I wanted to do, and I tried to be different.
In the space of a year, I had become a regular on the site, and even nominated for a few PCM daily awards. This did not change my application though. Just because of that, I was not expecting to get a spot for sure, hence my strong application. I definitely thought I had a better shot, but there are no guarantees.
I can say 100% I am glad I was rejected the first time. Meiji is a much more rewarding plan than what I had before.

Bit pointless pointing stuff like that out, it's not like the decision is gonna be reversed. Be patient, continue to contribute positively and work on a better application for next year. Valv is a great example. |

I would be very surprised if one of the new managers, or the existing, doesn't fuck up and are kicked out of the game.
Why not try to make us think that you are first in line to take that place, instead of showing how regretful we all should be that you weren't picked, because you have 2-6000 posts, and have tried this and that.
Keep showing your interest in the game, and catch the opportunities. I have a strange feeling that complaining will put you further down the applications list.
Again. Congrats to those who made it, and better luck next time to those who didn't.

I don't know where to put this really, but I believe it is time someone remembers these simple things, before it all gets out of control:
To resign: to terminate a contract
To re-sign: to re-validate a contract
and since we're at it
ColUmbia is the designation of a huge pile of different shit
while ColOmbia is a fucking country in South America
Sorry for being a pedantic twat. Now we can all go back to spending our day exploring the DB.

For an example of why post-count means nothing, look at me. I've been in the game for going on 5 seasons and I don't even have 500 posts, but I'm still probably the coolest guy here
