It`s not 100% decided yet. But he is not 100% fitting to my team even though he is a nice rider to have.
But different to last season he is not successful at all this year. So not sure if it`s worth to keep him. |

If Rob Ruijgh is looking for a new home, Project 1t4i would be the perfect fit for him

Cucinotta would interest me if I get a team next season.

If I get into MG next year, would Cucinotta be available? As his wage is just 50,000.

Ruijgh is a quite famous rider. He seems to have lots of friends here.
As my team should be a bit more focussed on the mountains in future I still have to consider about his future.
Cucinotta will be available for everyone as he is 100% a free agent. Could be a decent leadout or sprinter for the smaller races. If I remember correct, he had 1 win in the criterium series this year.
@Luis Leon Sanchez: Not sure what riders you exactly mean. But as you said talented I can already say that Villella is definitely staying. Edmondson is still a questionmark depending on where I ride next season, but also likely to stay I think. Not having thought a lot about him yet.

Ready for the season finale?
Only 3 races are left in our race calender for Octobre. It will be the decision in what division we are going to ride next season.
While we were in the promotion spots for most of the season the team struggled a bit in the last 2 months and were overtaken by some other teams.
The first race is Milano - Torino. Our leader there is Jonathan Bellis, who is going for a top10 to collect some more points. He will have full support of the team.
With Paris - Tours another classic where Maxime Vantomme finishes his good season. Hopefully with a win of course. Simon Geschke is his strongest leadout and might even take profit of the late climb. But a sprint finish is definitely expected and a podium wanted.
The last race is the Tour of Beijing. Again Jonathan Bellis is our leader here and the route looks pretty good for him. So we hope, he will improve from his Tour of Britain performance to finish high there.
To be honest. We need 3 top results to get one of the promotion spots and so it`s good to have our leaders being well prepared for those races.
It will influence our transfer season a lot obviously.
In case we stay in PCT we might hope for another promotion run next season with most likely an improved team as some talents come back and some others collected a lot of experience in our team over this season.
In the PT we would have a higher budget and would need to look for a climbing leader for the GT`s of course. Something that Daan Olivier might be able to in a few years.
So it`s not really a lose situation in any case as promotion never was planned for this season already. But we of course wouldn`t mind if it`s happening earlier.
Despite those regular season races we also have the Worlds, where Bellis, Geschke or Boom could play nice roles in the road race or in case of Boom also in the time trial.
Also in the Nationals we have lots of interesting riders, that hope for a strong finish. So having a national champion in our team for the next season would also be a premiere. |

As the season is close to be finished and sponsor issues were clarified already a few months ago, we are proud to announce our new jersey for the 2014 season. Not much has changed as the sponsors kept the same.
Thanks to OlegTinkoff, the designer of the shirt, we have a great jersey to present:
Aegon and Rothaus will keep the shared sponsor ship. So no surprise that our team will keep a German/Dutch focus.
Trigema will deliver the team with all shirts and accessoires while Stevens also goes into the 3rd season to produce our bicycles. Unilever resigned the contract as 3rd co-sponsor. |

That's a great jersey. Nice to see your team will live up to its standards next year, combining a great design with its iconic image.
Congrats to both manager and designer.

Great work from Oleg, that beer lady picture is nicely incorporated into a jersey, it looks like Picasso on Rothaus shirt.

These diagrams pretty much show how different the scoring was this season when thinking back to 2012, where Vantomme was a huge disappointment for the team.
He scored more than 1/4 of the total points as also in the European Tour, which was our main focus.
This way he sits in 5th (total individual rankings) and 3rd in the European Individual rankings closely followed by Boom, who is in 5th there.
Bellis also scored well so far and is still doing while Geschke might have been our key factor this season as he didn`t score like the best but quite a lot. So he exactly delivered as I had hoped before the season.
Also mentionable Velits in his 2nd year as also our Spanish duo Tendero/Zabalo with decent scorings, while Passeron couldn`t repeat his 2012 performance. Also Ruijgh was far off his 2012 results, which was partly due to the even lower mountain focus but mainly due to him not being as suited to PCM13 I guess.
With one month to come, it`s all about promotion now and as the team already spent most of the race days, it might be hard to stay in 4th with so many teams closely behind us.
Milan Torino started decent with a 7th by Bellis. Now we just have to hope for top5-podium results by Vantomme in Paris Tours and a podium by Bellis in Beijing, our last HC race, which could be the decision maker. Now seeing the profile again I hope, the hilly stage is indeed hilly and not too mountaineous. |

Rothaus - Aegon to be Pro Tour next season!
The end of the season was far more thrilling that you could have expected during the season, where the team was usually in the top2 in the rankings.
But some less successful races plus some huge races of the direct opponents Vueling, Bouygues, ING, Tinkoff, Bpost, Prio Porto or Volkswagen made it a close decision in the end.
This plus the addition of 2 more PT teams in 2014 of course.
Rothaus - Aegon finished as 5th in the ranking taking one of the promotion spots.
Team manager Roturn wasn`t available for a longer interview as reporters are obviously interested in any transfer plans. There are always riders being better in PT or PCT. So rumours are seeing parts of the 2013 squad leaving the team in trades. But these rumours did not find any confirmation so far.
One thing though is for sure. Climbers Ruijgh, Olivier, Koep or Voss surely won`t be enough to survive the tough PT mountain races or even the GT`s. So finding the right GT leader is definitely a high priority.
But for now it`s all about finding the best location to celebrate with the whole team, engineers, docs, sponsors and everyone being involved in our project. |

Congratulations, I'm glad we are promoting at the same time. We joined in the same year and our teams have mirrored each other quite nicely as we both learned from mistakes.

Thanks. Same to you of course.
I still made unneccesary mistakes. Need to stop those.
I guess nobody had expected Vantomme to be that huge this year scoring 1000 points. As his salary is still quite high I hope to not have to higher it this time. Eventually even get it further down.
As interested as I am how my team will look like in 2014, it will be even more interesting with your team imo. Gautier I guess will be out as also Drujon? So you need more or less any terrain but cobbles. |

Yeah I'm worried because I have only a couple of leaders who are even vaguely competitive at PT level (Vanspeybrouck and Cornu) and so I have a lot of replanning to do. At least some of your leaders are good enough for the level up like Bellis and Vantomme.

Win Volta ao Algarve (22nd Boom) | Top 5 Berlin Pro Race (5th Vantomme) | Top 5 Down Under Classic (5th Vantomme) | Top 5 Eneco Tour (3rd Vantomme) | Top 10 Europe Tour Team Standings (2nd/3rd I guess) |
After being 1/5 only in our debut season in 2012, the goal selection worked much better this year. One reason surely is the rising of Maxime Vantomme, who really pulled the whole team this year. Even though some goals were acchieved closely by him, he is responsible for all successful goals being one of the top5 sprinters in the division, which also helped us to get a Top10 Europe Tour Standing.
Only big disappointment here is a very unlucky Volta ao Algarve, which should have been much closer but a tactical fail saw Boom dropping on one stage. So he was not able to repeat his 2012 success there.
Still in total 4/5 is a great way to finish this season of course and will surely help us in the next year.
@Count: Not too sure that Bellis is strong enough for PT. Might need some hill boost I guess and then hoping that the game is not seeing him as a sprinter. |
