Why? A guy who becomes a world top 15 MTBer can't be considered a flop!

Jan Ullrich
Are you trolling?
Half, at best.
He was paid based on his potential (that's how things go), though he got a palmares little cyclists have, it was probably very, very inferior to what he was supposed to be able to achieve.
Giuliano Figueras, counts as another less arguable bust, I reckon.
Well ,he can end soon as the five times Tour winner right?Ullrich is not a bust at all for me.
Kreuziger is on the border i think, he is not doing so far what many expected from him, but he still has won the Giro white jersey last year and GT stage this year and i hope his days are not over, Riijs will squeeze it from him...

In a way, Jan Bakelants. He won the Tour de l'avenir
Because race radio messed up.
When the pack were finally told how much lead the breakaway (him) had, he had over 8 minutes. Won the stage by a few minutes and with only one mountain stage and one time trial after that, ended up holding on to win the GC by half a minute
Ah thanks, didn't know that.
PCM also thought he had great potential - he ended up with something like 80 Mo and 80 TT or so. He still could develop though, but like I and you said, he's currently sort of a jack of all trades, master of none. |

I won't call him exactly a bust. He's still fairly young and from my opinion, when he enter the cycling PT franchise, it was way too early for him. He's gonna improve still and he can still tournout a very good rider. |

Well, to be honest, I think he is just a rider who is good in nearly everything, but excellent in nothing.
Guess who's back?

Feline is 22. Most guys haven't turned pro yet at that age and he already has several wins.
Take it easy guys

Allright. But believe me, he won't win anything big. May I remind you of the age of Sagan and Phinney and Talansky?
P.S. nearly said kelderman...

Because he hasn't won a huge race at age 22? Seriously?
What has Phinney won that's big? What has Talansky won that's big? And Sagan is a freak. Likely he'll be done as a top rider by age 29, and even if he isn't he's an outlier.
Going by your logic, the following riders are all busts:
Voigt
Vinokourov
hell, let's go to current riders at that age:
RodrÃguez? Bust. Will never win anything big.
Valverde? Bust.
Greipel is a HUGE bust.
Tony Martin? Lost cause.
Voeckler? Crap.
Cancellara? Nothing
S.Sánchez, see above.
What about that Óscar Freire guy? Nobody will remember him, surely. At 22 he had no big wins! And don't get me started on Bernard Hinault or Eddy Merckx or Rominger or Induráin, what busts those guys were.
Did you overdose on sarcasm or are you still here?

Can't say anything other then what Isso said. It's btw ridicilous to say someone is bust when he is only 22 years old. His potential is high and we will see in 5-10 years time if he's a bust. |

Great job! You completed my list of crapy riders!!
Let's start with phinney. 2nd WC ITT this year.
Yes, sagan is a freak.
Talansky, 7th overal Vuelta
Voigt, Never won anything big except 2 tour stages
Vinokourov, doper, bought the 2010 LBL, samething for 2012 olympics. Never liked him.
RodrÃguez? Bust. This is intresting story. Won La Flèche Wallonne, but only because Gilbert was not in shape. Won several GT stages, but after this years vuelta, it seems clear he will never win a GC.
Valverde? No bust. Let's have a look at his results when he was 23:
2003
2nd, World Cycling Championship Road Race
3rd overall, Vuelta a España
1st, Stages 9 and 15
Winner combination classification
1st, GP Primavera
1st, GP Villafranca de Ordizia
2 stage wins, Troféu Joaquim Agostinho
Stage win, Vuelta al PaÃs Vasco
Stage win, Vuelta a Aragón
Got it?
Greipel: close to bust: he was the gay who would beat the cav. Never saw him doing that.
Tony Martin? Lost cause. I already wrote about Martin: great ITT rider, sucks in stage races.
Voeckler? Crap. He is.
Cancellara? Same story as valverde, look at his results in 2002, 2003:
2002
1st National Time Trial Champion
1st GP Eddy Merckx
1st Overall GP Erik Breukink
1st Stage 3b
1st Overall Tour of Rhodes
1st Prologue
1st ZLM Tour
1st Stage 1 Österreich Rundfahrt
1st Stage 3 Ytong Bohemia Tour
2003
1st Prologue Tour de Suisse
1st Prologue Tour de Romandie
1st Points Classification
1st Stage 4 Tour of Belgium
1st Stage 6 (TTT) Tour Méditerranéen
S.Sánchez, just like rodrigeuz, will never win a GC.
What about that Óscar Freire guy? Nobody will remember him, surely. At 22 he had no big wins! And don't get me started on Bernard Hinault or Eddy Merckx or Rominger or Induráin, what busts those guys were.
Exceptions, do you have a better theory?
Still happy you didn't start talking about Gesink

I don't judge riders by there results, I judge them by how they ride there races. Never saw Felline in front at a big race this year.

alexanderlens, I had a talk with your doctor and....well....I think you should have a seat.
There's no easy way to say this.
You're an idiot.
I'm sorry. I thought you should know. The doctors say there is no cure. I will pray for you.
EDIT: And if you like I'll come back after dinner and show you why by your own logic you're wrong
