That's incredibly pathetic. I don't know how the UCI even allows this. Oh wait, it's the UCI, nevermind.
In other news, Rabobank sacks Breukink, and they're apparently preparing a major restructuring.

Not sure whether it's a good news to have a manager sacked in a team that stopped covering its riders' doping. |

Wouldn't suprise me. The government made sure that the NOS has absolutely no budget to braodcast sports anymore. They don't even broadcast the Giro/Vuelta and only spend half an hour on the Paralympics.

Well, we don't get the Giro since like forever here. Yet the public channel does broadcast the Champions League, whose TV rights must be so expensive that they'd be enough to organize a 3 week race in Mars and broadcast it in HD, but hey, it's football.

They regret sacking Leinders of course.

Aside from Breukink being an idiot at managing that team, there have been some whispers coming out of the team that even the rest of the DSs think very low of him.
Namely:
- The materials they're using this year give them a slight advantage on flat ground but produce too much friction between them while climbing, which has hampered the team's performances this year. Supposedly Breukink was the one who insisted on sticking with it
- Breukink doesn't listen to anyone on who to promote from the CT team or who to sign. Supposedly among the names he was strongly recomended at this time last year and didn't even bother considering were Tiernan-Locke and Van Rensburg
None of this is confirmed, but if Breukink is leaving mid-season, something must be happening. It can't just be his general non-performance since that's been obvious for years

What I read is that he'll leave at the end of the season.

Which is in two months, which is the standard time to spend in a firm when you're resigning here.
We're not exactly in the middle of the season any more. |

In other news, Brajkovic will be the Leader for the Slovenian Cycling delegation to the WC, he will be supported by Bole, Bozic, Kocjan, Koren, Kump and Lezgec, reserves will be Vrecer, Spilak, Gajc and Gazvoda. I'ts quite a good team but in my opinion they should have sent Spilak insted of Lezgec. |

I assume that "Lezgec" is actually Luka Mezgec?
Imo, he really deserves a spot in that squad. He has been very good all year, with several victories and tons of top five spots. I would've picked Spilak over Bole though, since Bole has been weak this season. Nowhere near previous years' level.

This. Mezgec has had a quite good season, and will be a useful rider in this year's route. Bole is a better rider alright, but Mezgec deserves the reward for his good season. Leaving Spilak out is dumb though.

They're one of the favourites, and with a team like that, I only see Omega come close to that. |

They're a mighty strong team indeed. Turft, Durbridge, Meyer... Damn! I might have missed it but do we know the Sky line-up? |
