Tour Down Under : Stage 6

i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o619/Absintlover/1-4.jpg
Today's stage brings opportunities to the sprinters , our Goss is in a great shape so we should be able to pull this off .

Race Report

i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o619/Absintlover/2-4.jpg
After 30 km's there's a very big group looking to break away , they'll get caught 10 km's before the end and this race will end up in a mass sprint .

i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o619/Absintlover/3-4.jpg
Goss tries to jump on Cav's wheel but that last one looks reborn and he takes he's second stage win .

That's good option. With Goss you had a chance of few wins, but over-racing Goss isn't the best option really, good luck Wink

Completely agree with you! Better save some energy for bigger races.

Team GreenEdge : February preview

Before we start the February Preview I'm going to give you guys some results of January .

i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o619/Absintlover/reviewJanuary.jpg
GreenEdge didn't compete in alot of races in january , only the Australian Championships and the Tour Of Qatar , over here you can see who won the other races .

i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o619/Absintlover/finances.jpg
This is the one of the most important things in cycling , finances ! January was a very good month for GreenEdge , you can really see that on the finances , at the moment everything is very positive.

i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o619/Absintlover/individualrnking.jpg
Gerrans is the leader of the individual ranking and Goss comes in on 5th , this is great for GreenEdge but we must keep in mind , January isn't really important and the best racers hasn't been on the track yet ..

i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o619/Absintlover/TeamRanking.jpg
Same as the individual ranking , GreenEdge has 1st place , this says alot about the quality of this team !

Now we've seen the most important thing of January we can take a look at February .

i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o619/Absintlover/qsdfghjk.jpg
Over here you can see the calendar of February , Team GreenEdge will be active in five races .

i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o619/Absintlover/tourofqatar.jpg
Goal : Stage win(s) ; Robin McEwen

Goals : Stage win(s) ; Allan Davis

Goal : stage win(s) and overall top 5 ; Franco Pelizotti

Tour Of Qatar : Stage 1

i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o619/Absintlover/0009.jpg

i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o619/Absintlover/0008.jpg

Our team for Qatar isn't as strong as our team for TdU but we still got a pretty good team , we're not going to Qatar with alot of ambition , our only goal is a stage win , this is a task for Robbie , Albasini is our man for the GC ,
like you can see we brought Franco Pelizotti to this year's Tour of Qatar , he's just getting he's shape up for Tour Du Haut Var where he will try to get a top 5 overall . Today's stage brings opportunities to sprinters , Robbie isn't as strong as Goss and he also doesn't has a strong lead out like Goss had , Robbie should take the wheel of someone else , that's the plan .

Race Report

Today , one of our riders is Svein Tuft , the canadian champ , it's the first time he's wearing the jersey this year and he's enjoying it .

i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o619/Absintlover/PCM0011.jpg
After 15 km's the first breakaway is a fact , 6 riders try to take off !

i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o619/Absintlover/PCM0013.jpg
But they aren't the only ones looking to get away , 7 other riders join them ; They're now with 13 and that could be dangerous with 90 km's to go their leading by 8 minutes !

i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o619/Absintlover/PCM0015.jpg
The peloton know they have to do something and it's O'Grady leading the chase and with effect , the breakaway get caught with 16 km's to go .

i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o619/Absintlover/PCM0016.jpg
Several teams are putting up their sprintingtrain , we're one of them ...But our train isn't strong enough !

i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o619/Absintlover/PCM0019.jpg
Robbie has to change tactic , he tries to get to Cav's wheel ..

i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o619/Absintlover/PCM0020.jpg
...With no effect , Cav is very strong again and takes the first stage of this year's Tour Of Qatar .
