Taaramae should prove himself in the TDF this year, when the whole world is focused on cycling.

So what the hell happened to Van Garderen?! A half hearted attack on the final climb then capitulation, finishing behind Valverde's group over 2 minutes down. I know he's not the best climber but the climb wasn't that tough, I can only imagine he suddenly felt empty after trying the attack...
I was wondering that when I looked at the results and he was over 2 minutes down.
I also wasn't that surprised to see Schleck. who had no problems at all in the Valverde group also. I found it funny when they advertised this race on Eurosport here, the voice-over said: "With race favourite Andy Schleck here, it will be a hard one to win." Made me laugh
Also, strong showing from Albasini.

Yes, Eurosport hoping we hadn't noticed it wasn't July with Schleck. Mind you they (and for that matter Cycling News) totally failed to pick up on the fact that Wiggins would be riding support this week despite the team and him going public on that...

Van Garderen had a technical problem. It was clearly visible on the television, probably a puncture, in the downhill.
The Dutch commentators on Eurosport noted it. But judging by your suprise, the English commentators didn't notice (suprise, they don't notice a thing) |

..except they did notice.
They didn't know why, but they noticed.

I did wonder, thanks. There was lots of "your guess is as good as mine..." on British Eurosport though to be fair the entire downhill was like picking out ants amoungst tree branches. I actually don't mind Brian Smith's commentary (think it's him co-commentating on Catalunya) but Harmon seems to miss the elementary on a consistent basis.
Of course there is also a chance I may have missed them mentioning it but my excuse is I don't get paid to sit on the sofa

Ow sorry of course. He says he has problems because of a fall yesterday and doesn't want to risk it because of the Ardennes classics.

Well done for those in the breakaway today. Anyone knows what is the delay of peloton at the end? |

It was 8min with 7km to go or so.
But it`s not sure yet if the gaps will be counted due to the snow.
Could happen that the stage win counts but all riders are counted within the same time. |

Well, my opinion is it shouldn't count.
First of all, the stage was shortened more than 50 km.
And second, they announced it with 10 km to go. |

That`s the reason why the consider it.
Pretty sure it won`t count.
Most funny thing is that the breakaway obviously did not know about the shortening and Brajkovic more or less won randomly.
Not sure if this is true.

This really sucked. Was looking forward to the climbing a lot.
Oh well, I guess that means we'll see some crazy racing tomorrow!

Will those results be counted ? Tbh I doubt it.
Pelli - Doubt it, the profile is much overrated. I again see a same group of 40-60 sprinting of the win.

Well, Alakagom, I wouldn't say Albasini is the winner quite yet. I think the breakaway will win in next few days and someone from it will win the whole race.
Also, Greenedge doesn't have strong enough team to chase in the mountains. |

This has got to be one of the most silliest races of this year. Did they give the same time to all riders? |

Movistar tweet:
#VoltaCatalunya / Etapa 3: Finalmente, los tiempos de hoy no se contabilizarán para la general de la carrera. Albasini (GEC) sigue lĂder.
Alabasini leader. All riders same time. Doubt Brajkovic will get any points or trophy, maybe some flowers though
Other 4 stages are not tough enough zamorac69, Alabasini wins the GC here imo, shows how shit this race so far Eneco might be more exciting than this lol
