Someone pointed out that Cav might have food poisoning on twitter, that would at least explain the situation a bit. Still defaq why did 5 Sky riders wait for him up Le Manie I dunno.

Surprising with Cav..

But they are really putting the hammer down. Should be an advantage for riders such as Breschel Smile

Who's the english commentator on Eurosport? It's far from the first time I notice, but he talks ALL THE TIME, doesn't he?

Another rider who's dissapointing. Ciolek is also in the group with Cav.

Cav is clearly suffering. He's a bad climber but when his 100% he's not that bad on the climbs as shown, something has to be wrong with him.

The sky is looking quite dark, rain clouds.
Looks like Cav is calling it time on the chase

Boonen must be in the good shape when OPQS are powering so hard,he is one of my favourites.

Edit: I am glad i did not bet on Cav.

Yeah, it's him vs. Sagan I think, as long as Cancellara doesn't pull off something.

It makes no sense to chase just for the sake of it. Cavendish is quite obviously not in condition to contest the win for whatever reason, so that's it for him.

My predictions keep failing as expected. Pfft

David Harmon. I love it when he comes out with quotes like cav is just stretching his shoulders and neck. Sean kelly must have his head in his hands.

At least hes more entermaining than liggett and co

It's clever tactic from OPQS, riding like mad men on the run-in to Cipressa, draining energy and power from those who hopes to attack on Cipressa/Poggio.
