Andy Schleck, the rider that 99% of fans criticize for only caring about two races, says he hasn't focused enough on the Tour and will disregard the other races even more from now on.
At first I thought Andy might be joking, but then I remembered he has the comedic timing of lung cancer.
He's pushing new boundaries for stupidity every day. It's no wonder fans hate him.
You guys know that i am biased but you shouldn't be pissed because if you hate him then your riders will have more chance to win right? |

There are no "My riders". There are many riders who respect other riders and the sport and there are a few riders who don't.
Frank Schleck does. Andy Schleck doesn't. I'm not pissed, I'm sometimes laughing and sometimes facepalming at the sheer stupidity of Andy's statements.

The British commentators piss me off so much.
Pursuit is the best race ever. Omnium is rubbish, as is any long distance event. Why do they have events which are not just about how much money you put in, thus stopping Britain winning everything?

While it is a shame that a number of events were taken out, yeh, the Omnium has really grown on me.

Can't find one at the moment. Might find its way online within the next few days.

Still no luck but have found more info, he should be taking part in the sprint as well, whenever that's on.

Meanwhile, at Radioshack....
Schleck is still at it. This time he insists the 2012 Tour course is great for him.
The Tour is perfect for me this year

That must've been the hardest race of his life
Here's the entire list of participants:
Professionals - 18.04 km
1 Andy Schleck (Team CSC/ACC Contern) 22.45.65
That's it

There is a very good reason for putting the Omnium into the Olympics. They want to make the track events span a certain number of sessions. Having a single event like the scratch race, or something slightly more drawn out like the 4km pursuit won't do the job. So, how about an event where the same riders compete in multiple events? Yep, the Omnium is a great filler. If track cycling was allowed to award another half dozen gold medals I guarantee that the Omnium would go as quickly as it appeared.

EBH has a cold and won't start at Omloop. Better now than at PR or Omloop I suppos, but there seems to be some curse on him in the classics.

He probably meant better than being sick now AND at PR.
On topic. Terpstra also won't make it this weekend. Martin Velits will replace him at the Omloop.

Offredo has been suspended for the coming 12 months.
He forgot to fulfill his trimester schedule on time twice and didn't change his location on time in July when he started a race wherever he hadn't planned to.
Bit harsh, but the rules are the rules... |

One of my working mates is a swimmer (listed on the (French) high level sportsmen list) and subject to the same system (and regularly controlled), so he explained me how it works.
Every trimester they have to fill their whereabouts on internet, for the coming three months. Week-end 1 I'm "at home", week time 2 I'm at work and at home, week-end 2, I'll be in Paris, etc. and they must fill that on time (not sure how long before the concerned period starts).
I think they can edit it if they change plans for some reason.
Twice Offredo didn't fill that in time, and once he didn't notify a change.
3 infractions : suspension.
It doesn't even say if that led to a missed control, I suppose they'd have written it if it was case. Just guessing though. |

That's harsh. I wonder if he will appeal this decision. |
