Also Jesse Sergent, Ben King, Jakob Fuglsang, Haimar Zubeldia, and Daniele Bennati will be riding for Radioshack-Nissan-Trek.

Leopard offered most of their riders 3 or even 4 year contracts. How can they cancel those, without in some way, having to pay remaning salary for the entire contract? I mean, if a rider is to cancel his contract, I belive they have to either pay themself, or get their new team to pay, how can they just disband a contract, simply because they merge? It's not the riders fault they end up with more than 30 riders.
Or is there some kinda tricky way to say they close Leopard-trek and therefore, all contracts are gone, and those they decide to keep, gets a new?
I doubt they can use "closing the team" as an excuse to get out of the contracts they signed, since (according to https://www.leopardtrek.lu/) the team retains its license and simply gets rebranded due to Radioshack and Nissan being new sponsors.
I have no clue as to how they'll try to get out of the contracts they already signed.
However, since the start of the team, I have no expectations of Leotard displaying any type of loyalty, morale or ethics, so it shouldn't be too difficult for them to find a way. |

Nicely said, for me Leopard will be remembered as "one big shite" team.

I'll remember them as the team that rides hard after opponents in the GC get a flat tire or mechanical. And then proudly put on their website how they did it.
Disgusting piece of shit team without a morale. |

I'm just thinking... With this new "super-team" for the schlecks, is it possible that ASO will take it into account when making the route for TdF2012? Maybe they'll remove the TTT and have three ITT's? (That includes the prologue) Or is this too late? cuz if it turns out like this year with one TTT and a hilly ITT, then I can't see beyond the Schlecks.... |

Mmmm, I think there was no team time trial in mind for 2012. |

This year's route was perfectly suited for Schleck, yet he managed not to win.
I'm not too worried about the parcours. Schleck will be challenged nonetheless (although Contador, hopefully, won't be there). |

I want to say something like OMG WTF FUCK IT!
Really, really bad news, bad dream came true. Bruyneel is for me one of the persons which I hate in cycling the most. And he is going to take his honeys and his two sponsors to my favourite team, which I liked almost entire? At least there will be no Leipheimer and hopefully no Popovych in the 'new' team..

There were rumors of a stage 4 TTT.

UCI chickened out in the radio discussion.
Radios will be allowed in 2012 in World Tour and .HC events. In return, the World Tour teams will show up at the Tour of Beijing which is / was partly organized by UCI itself.

Hey Ruben, can't you stop writing such useless comments about leopard trek. I didn't read one comment in which you didn't affront them. I don't mind when you write anything about rabobank and the other "good" teams It's ok when you don't like them but you don't have to comment every post that includes a word about Leopard Trek!!! |

That's really important for cycling. It'd never be the same again without the Tour of Beijing. |

You have to try to get time out of your opponents whenever you can.

Ruben is entitled to write his opinion, and you are free to disagree with him. Telling him to stop teasing your favourites aren't going to change a thing. |

A shame. The UCI was close to do something right for the first time in ages. But it was too good to be true.
