Stage 3:
Al Aturiyah - As Salwa
A new really flat stage. You cannot find steep nor long climbs in Qatar, so it isn't any alternatives, though. This is the last stage in Qatar, so be prepared for more hilly stages later.
Stage 4:
Manama Criterium
A criterium stage in Manama, the capital of Bahrain. The profile can look hilly, but the biggest climbing percentage (or something ) is 1.5. Prepare yourself for a new mass sprint, if the offensive riders aren't ready for action.
After these there are one more really flat stage, before the race really begins. I really wanted to find some hilld in Qatar and Bahrain, but that isn't easy
@sirhendrix: I'll fix it for you soon.

Great work with the Deutschland-Tour! The stage up the Rettenbachferner looks fun to play, well done with the slopes

Stage 5:
As Salwa - Silah
A new flat stage, but now you can see some hills on the profile. I know the start of the Tour looks a bit boring, but I think it is funny when time triallists and sprinters can fight for the GC leader's jersey. Also the wind can make gaps.
Stage 6:
Ruwais - Mezairaa
Some short but steep climbs can tire the sprinters a bit before the sprint, when we are going to the border between UAE and Saudi-Arabia.
Stage 7:
Mezairaa - Al Qua'a
The longest stage of the race. We are going away from the hilly border and into UAE. This will be a sprinter's stage because it is in fact one of the last chances for a mass sprint in many days.
After this stages are the first rest day.

Stage 8
Sweihan - Ash Shuwayhah
The riders are going into the first hilly zone, but this stage won't be the hardest. Some hills in the last kilometres, but there will be small gaps, if there is gaps at all.
Stage 9:
Ash Shuwayhah - Sur Al Abri
Several mountains on this stage, but no monster challenges. The highest point of the stage is ca. 1150 metres, and will be cycled twice. The easy end of the stage will make it perfect for offensive riding and early breakaways.
The ninth stage must be the most irritating stage I've ever made, but that have nothing to do with the profile. The first time I made it, I was going to export when the stage disappeared completely from the computer. The next time I was going to export, the pc crashed and when I restarted the file had 0 byte, and was empty. This is the third attempt, and I have used 6 days on making it... |

Hi nils erik,
First i want to congratulate u again for your stages and i wanted to ask if u are doing request?
Is for a fantasy Mountain stage.
Champion des Alpes: ( Sarenne/Alp d'Huez, Glandon, Madeleine, Val Thorens)
that stage plus Col du Parpaillon and Mont Blanc.
Thnxs in advance. |

Mont Blanc? what? you can't go up there... And Parpaillon is a very long way of the other climbs so that is very hard to make... lets see if he can do it
I Did some Research:
-Parpaillon to Alpe d'Huez ca. 100 kms
-You can't take Sarenne because than you have to take the same road to Bourg D'oisans again. So You'll have to take another small road that ends where the Glandon starts.
-Glandon up
-Madeleine Up
-Val Thorens up (stage already over 300 kms)
-Over Col De Rosael (Only way to go off Val Thorens) that is going south again so again more distance.
When going over Rosael the shortest way to Mont Blanc is over Iseran. (Already over 400 km)
-In order to reach Bardonechia (at the Mont-Blanc) You'll have to pass Petit Saint Bernard.
-Then Reach Bardonechia you are at 570 km's now.
-What you mean with Mont-Blanc is quite unclear to me but the road that is going to the Mont Blanc stops at less than 2000m of altitude.
So what i figured out is that it is possible but you'll have to take other cols in addition to the ones that you wan't to

Stage 10:
Ras Al Khaimah - Fujairah
A stage with several hard hills, where an offensive rider can get some time. The most important, however, is to keep in the peloton for one more day, and wait with the attacks to stage 11.
Stage 11
Sohar - Marterhorn
Marterhorn, Yanqul Mountain, the final climb has got many names. It is hard and steep, 8 km with 9 %; and on the top you get a nice view over the Yanqul City. Also, the riders has to climb one more mountain before the final, the not so steep Hayl Bani Kathir. After this the climbers can rest until stage 15.
@fickman: Do you mean Petit Blanc? As Sam1196 already said also Col du Parpaillon is far away from the other climbs.

I didnt notice i was no pisible to make such an stage. I heard u can put so many mountains together as u wish.
With Mont Blank i meant this:
But i dont know if that is fantasy or real.
I didnt relize that with the other two mountains will be such a long stage. I wanted a monster mountain stage with arrround 300 km and at least 4 mountains.
Do u think such an stage is posible? |

That surely is fantasy yeah it's possible for sure just no Parpailoon and no Val Thorens... the route you mentsioned is imposible but a route with 4 big cols is doable!

Arrival altitude of 4568metres..... 100% fantasy, as that is (what I believ) the altitude of the summit/peak of the Mont Blanc, covered with snow, ice etcetera....

+ the fact that there's absolutely no road up there
