What makes it even worse/more weird is the fact that two goals from Ajax were unjustly disallowed. Angry

This is unbelieveble.

Now you know what it's like to play against Real Madrid.

The referee was Jorge Sousa, who is known for some dubious decisions...

As for Basel, big surprise, but loved to see them knock out United. Grin

I am not a supporter of Ajax, but I must say the linesmen were very bad! Why can't they analyse goals that are rated offside? For example on the big screens, and then the linesmen can decide if it's really offside. This is so sad.

I'd say we can laugh off United badly  But not City really. They had the toughest group in Champions League, and are destroying everybody in League, unlike Untied who is going downhill, which I am joyous about Grin

I think that Champions league quitting will have opposite effect then you think. United are experienced club as a whole and will be able to bounce back in the league i think. And City could be in longer shock, as their rich owners expected a lot better in CHL. I would even bet with you, that United will be the league champions once again.
At leat i hope, because team with $amir Nasri and Clichy does not deserve better Wink

And City might not get to Champoins League in the future due to new FIFA rules. But United will certainly fight for the win in years to come.

Lyon - APOEL
Napoli - Chelsea
Milan - Arsenal
Basel - Bayern
Leverkusen - Barcelona
CSKA - Real Madrid
Zenit - Benfica
Marseille - Internazionale

Big games between Italian and English teams in perspective!

Montolivo
Lyon - APOEL - Lyon will go trough.
Napoli - Chelsea - Hard match. Can't really decide, but if Terry and Ivanovic play they will not have the speed to match Lavezzi, Cavani and Hamsik.
Milan - Arsenal - I'll go for Milan here.
Basel - Bayern - Certain that Bayern will go trough. Always gets easy draws, but maybe Basel can surprise and play good.
Leverkusen - Barcelona - Certain Barcelona.
CSKA - Real Madrid - Real Madrid trough to the quarter finals.
Zenit - Benfica - Zenit will go trough, but could be close.
Marseille - Internazionale - Inter is the better team and will go trough.

Alakagom
God.... English teams got the hardest draws both in CL and EL. It's conspiracy Pfft Even Platini ( French ) want UK clubs out of Europe

There's a reasonable chance we have an English-free quarter finals in the CL. When was the last time this happened?
