Ah well they had to do something because of Seattle signing Sidney Rice I don't know Sims-Walker had some great games with Jacksonville but seems a bit inconsistent to me, but I think with a good QB he'll do just fine as a number 2. wideout but the Rams still miss that number 1 wideout that can really make an impact. Altough I have to say it ofcourse also still has to be seen whether Rice can be that guy in Seattle.

Yeah I know we have way too many WR's that are all fairly decent, But wouldn't be the #1 on most other teams.
Donnie Avery
Danario Alexander
Mike Sims Walker
Danny Amendola
Brandon Gibson
Mark Clayton (if he re-signs which he said he wants to, theres even a poll on the Rams website asking they should bring him back and "Yes" is at 87%)
But here's how I see the formation ending up.
1. Sims Walker
2. Alexander/Avery (depending on the play if its a long bomb, or a short hook route)
3. Amendola for the shorter routes
4. Gibson
Of course thats without Clayton since he hasn't signed yet. I also love the signing og Mikel who should move into SS so that Craig Dahl can go back to FS and replace Otogwe. Dahl is the reason Otogwe was released.
Its a bit like our QB situation, instead of getting a real starter we only have QB's who would be backups on 25/26 other teams, ah well atleast either Jackson or Whitehurst will have big guys to throw to who are less easy to miss

I think the eagles should have signed Moss because i dont know if Maclin will be ready for the season and Jackson might not come back. Also if the eagles cant trade Asante Samuel i think they might run the bear defense and use all three dbs they have

Think they should keep Samuel, read an interesting comparison between Rodgers Cromartie and Deangelo Hall (who was opposite of Asomugha in Oakland). Hall was a good DB with the Falcons, but when he got to Oakland they burned him every game as opponents did everything but throw to Asomugha. ROdgers Cromartie looks similar to him and if he starts next to Asomugha, without Samuel present, I can see him being abused alot next year. Ofcourse its still better than they had last year but then again its not like they will suddenly have the best pass defense in the league.
Meanwhile the Seahawks also sign Zach Miller, as I said it really seems like this is the year Pete wants to rebuild the offense and do the defense next year before he wants the Seahawks to be contenders.

Thats a good point about Rodgers-Cromartie, I think he's better than Hall but it will definitely be interesting to see how he handles his first few games. Personally if I was the Eagles GM, I'd let both Rodgers-Cromartie and Samuel play beside Asomugha for a few games, and whoever does worse, should get traded (only if they are planning to trade one of them though).
About the Seahawks, what the hell are the Rams doing this off-season. Okay you signed a fairly decent WR, now sign Clayton, who was on pace for almost 900+ yards and 8 TD's, last season before he was injured, and drop Gilyard who isn't much more than a Punt/Kick returner. I know they dont have to do as much as other teams in the NFC West, but I'd still like to see more action from them. All the teams in the NFC West see them as the team to beat (likely) and are spending lots to improve their teams in Free Agency.
With the final agreements, the new CBA, will now allow the NFL to do random blood tests, to check for anyone that may be doping, or using steriods such as H.G.H, as well as annual testing.
Who thinks 1/4 of the league will get caught in the next two years?
Edit: I'm just hoping none of my fantasy players get caught.

I would assume that a lot of players will get caught because no human can possible be as huge as some of those guys without HGH
It seems like the patriots were offended when Bart Scot said they could stop a nose bleed last year because they signed shuan ellis too. I dont think any team will easily be able to get through the patriots d-line
Ricky Williams just signed a 2 year deal with the Baltimore Ravens. I don't what the financial side of the deal is, but I like it. Ricky will be a cheaper version of McGahee and act as a veteran to the young Rice. 6 million for a back up was too much for the Ravens so they opted to release him and sign someone I hope is more financially reasonable.

Veteran?.................On the field maybe, but off the field........

Hey he came to play in Canada for next to nothing, although he only did it for the less sctrict marijuana laws (atleast it doesn't seem like anybody cares much here, as long as they are famous) and the fact that he could come to games high as a plane.

And the good news is its being televised on NFL Network this year, so atleast the Americans can watch the more consistently exciting league. Not sure about Europeans though.
The CFL is notorious for its awesome Touchdown celly's, so give it a watch next time you see it on TV.
