Edvald is strong, nice lead-out to put Swift on Cavs wheel
Wouldve been more effective if the EBH lead out lasted until Swift could sprint for himself, rather than just joining the battle for Cav's wheel. As it was Oss won that battle, and that was as good os Oss could do, he couldnt kick past Cavendish.
Very good green jersey stage for Cavendish

I have flashback..when Cavendish lost tour first sprint. Some guys started to scream..he is fat and he's days are over.
It is stupid to make anouncment's after one stage..and stupid to correct stats after every stage. |

Definately. Could have been a different story if Farrar has Cav's wheel.
Garmin were just a little late, but they at least got Farrar into the Cav train - showing Sky how it is done, who went too early only to leave Swift alongside Cav's train. Sky need to try actually taking on HTC all the way to the line - today G ended up doing his turn on front with a HTC rider on his wheel.

Dont forget all the claims before the Tour that Cav is having a bad season, he isnt as good as he was, just because they dont get the idea of quality over quantity in wins. Theyll be back next year, no doubt.

Cavendish dominates again.. but the media are quick to label him the "fastest man in the peloton". Farrar had an extraordinary turn of speed to take second. With the same professional lead out, I'm pretty sure he's faster than Cav. |

Well, his season was pretty average before the Tour, considering he's the fastest sprinter by a comfortable margin, and that he has the best lead out train, by a comfortable margin. Of course, the TdF he's doing solves it all.

The difference imo between Cav and Farrar is that you "know" Cav will win in that position, i couldnt say the same about Farrar. |

Thing is, nothing had gone against plan.
Ok, so crashes held him up in MSR and Gent-Wevelgem, so whether or not he could have done well there, he didnt have the chance. And besides that, he took 2 out of 3 bunch sprint stages in the Giro.
When your targets are Giro, Tour, Vuelta and Worlds, its the performances there that matter - it was idiotic for people to count him out because he isnt winning in the smaller races, winning wasnt necesarily his reason for riding in them. Sprinters need to ride themselves into form, just like everyone else.

Points jersey secured for Cavendish now, unless he finishes outside the time limit on Alpe d'Huez.

Yes, but it still was an average season, for a guy who could be literally piling victories up. Agree that counting out the fastest sprinter is beyond idiotic, yeah. But that will always happen, just like it happens that every time Clentie scratches his guts lots of people come out with him not being in form, not having eaten enough beef, etc. It's a sort of a natural reaction, wishful thinking to stop seeing the same guy winning over and over again.

Man..you need to do a homework before to come a GC contender.
About Cavendish..I never doubt that he will be again best at the tour. Most strange was ..why the hell he needed to ride in cobble classics |

THAT IS SO AMERICAN! I came across one of the article's and there was a survey about geographical knoledge of the american's. Apparently over 50% people who were asked about the capital of Belgium didn't know the answer.
And they ddn't know about excistence of a coutry like Hungary |

Most strange was ..why the hell he needed to ride in cobble classics He's still young, so he's still fast, but when ageing, his muscles will get more slow twitches than now, he'll lose a little speed, and he certainly knows sprinters can adapt cobbles quite easily, so he was there to see how it is. Just to gain a little experience, that he might use in 4, 5 years, or something. |

now now, do you know how much you expect from a country where a lot of people think Europe is a country and most of the minority who know of Estonia think its part of Russia.

Bosskardo you have been lately away from estonia? But also you can follow from press..there is absolutely new wave of cyclismo idiots on the move. After a Taaramäe small success.
They are almost shure that Taaramäe will win this white..they dont have a clue who is Uran. They "know" that Taaramäe would have beaten Gesink easily..specialy with TT (about 2 min. there).
When I starting to explain ..then they just start screaming..go away when you hate Taaramäe.
I believe when cycling will come more popular I starting to hate Taaramäe and also need move to another country to live.
