Can't wait for the final climb. If I had some PCM$ I would have betted them on F. Schleck for the stage win. I actually think he'll do better than Andy this year.

So is Saxo Bank letting a breakaway containing two LeoTards go? Uhm.

Apparently, it's not only Rojas complaining about Cavendish. Gilbert complained yesterday that Cavendish was being pulled by his team mates over the small climb before the intermediate sprint so he could contest it.
The same Gilbert who went 1km before the sprint, then complained about that?
The same Gilbert who wants to force Cavendish out the race to win green?
Sorry for not believing him
That's ok, but where there's smoke, there's fire. And what is wrong with forcing him out of the race?
He he's trying to get him kicked out it's wrong. If he puts his team in front and rides hard on the mountain stages, thats fine.
I just see forcing him outside the time limit as a negative tactic.
Would you not rather see green won on the road as a battle rather than Cavendish being forced to lose the jersey by being eliminated on the mountains.

A huge group is up front, around 20 riders, Casar is 1 of 3 from FDJ, Voigt is there, Koren from Liquigas too.
And the peloton has settled down, they are free to go, this will be a dangerous breakaway.
Edit: roturn is the better man, giving all the names According to the graphic, they've got 1,55 to the peloton.

I'd rather see any rider playing his cards. With this year's system, Cavendish will win the jersey if he isn't Hors Délai in a mountain stage, so if that's what it takes for Gilbert to win the green, he should try.

It's Marcato, not De Gendt Gilbert should have been in the breakaway for the points |

Perez Moreno (Eus), Iglinski (Ast), Ventoso (Mov), Pineau (QST), Malori (Lam) in a group between those 20 and the peloton. Again no Saxo rider.
Voigt and Gerdemann refusing to lead in the front group. |

Gilbert wouldn't WIN the green then, Cavendish would LOSE it.

If offense is the best defence, does it mean that defence is the worst defence?

Bullshit. Gilbert would have been better at getting over the mountains, and that's part of completing a GT, and therefore winning a jersey.

Faria da Costa and Gutierrez (both Mov) joined those 5 (50" behind the leading group). Peloton 3'40" behind. |

Don't think it will get as much room as yesterdays breakaway. Casar is less then 9 minutes down in gc so Europcar will want to limit the gap.

Might be a problem for Voeckler though as his team mates will have to work a lot today, right from the start. |

They already got 4'45, that's more than yesterdays break had at any time before Aubisque I think. |

Please, keep them at a reasonable distance. I don't want a breakaway succeeding on such a nice stage.

You can't really compare yesterday's stage with today's though. Today there is a mountain top finish and they took it easy in the peleton yesterday after the break was off. |
