That would be interesting. If Frank takes the jersey first, will Andy ride for him?

Finally real mountain stage. I think Andy will win this one, Contador hasn´t look very strong this far. |

I don't think they will just play on one card ! Only when one of them looses that much time that he can't fight anymore for the GC ! And Leopard Trek still has got enough riders (all 9) to work for the Schlecks ! I hope to see a firework from the Schlecks, probably not today but in one of the next mountain stages. They can alternately attack and i hope they will destroy Contador ! |

cadel in yellow!
its kinda part of my name
voeckler is a chance to retain his lead
he could win the tdf, he is a good climber
Europcar hasn''t been doing any leading out while voekler has had yellow jersey
isnt it convention to lead the peloton
if so, stop slackin off europcar!
Don't mess with this aussy!

Voeckler has the chance to defend his yellow jersey but it will be difficult. If Contador or the Schlecks will attack on the last climb and anyone of them gets a gap it will be very difficult to defend for Voeckler. But when they neutralize each other he has the chance to defend his yellow jersey, but the question is how long |

Well that's gotta suck. But it's only the first mountain stage, wouldn't want to be working when they're going up the Galibier or Huéz

I hope you won`t be disappointed. It`s the first mountain stage and I don`t expect them to attack very often.
So I am gonna enjoy a football match instead. |

Eurosport goes live in 40 minutes!
Traditional pre-race tweets!
@PaulSherwen Paul Sherwen
Stuck @ the top of Luz Ardiden waiting to get to the finish
@Mark_Renshaw Mark Renshaw
Up early today. First test for the G.C guys today. Who holding out, who bluffing and who going to crack?
Or who will come out smashing? Either way one thing is for sure, I wont be there to see it. Good luck Tony M & Peter V !
@swiftybswift Ben Swift
On our way to stage 12 apparently the tour starts today try telling my leg that. Hard day in the mountains today.
@mattgoss1986 Matt Goss
Hi ho hi ho its up the mountains we go!
@PhilLiggett Phil Liggett
I had forgotten how hard Luz Ardiden is. Not been since 2003. Misty and cold at 9am, but warming up.
@GeraintThomas86 Geraint Thomas
Good news!! We are doing the 'easy' side of the Tourmalet. 17km at 7.3%!!
And finally, this headline has caused a reaction in the Peleton
@millarmind David Millar
Headline of the race: 'FINI DE RIRE'. Things are about to get serious. What. The. Fuck?
(reaction seems to be that L'equipe has mad a mistake. Multiple crashes and many injuries are not a laughing matter). |

There is already a break of 6 incl G Thomas.
@itvcycling ITV Cycling
176 riders are left in the Tour after Feillu DNS this morning. Cugnaux - Luz-Ardiden is 211km and 6 riders have attacked 2km into the stage
The 6 escapees are Perez Moreno EUS, Gutierrez MOV, Kadri ALM, Thomas SKY, Roy FDJ and Mangel SAU, and they have 35" on the bunch
Out of the riders in the break, Geraint Thomas started the day highest in the GC, 31st at +5'51". They have increased their lead to 2'05"

No chance for this breakaway to survive. No offence but this break is kinda pathetic bearing in mind ammount of hard climbs ahead... and yet no Moncoutie, Charteau, Chavanel, Casar, Gadret or Riblon on a Bastille day? |

I don't know but they'll probrably attack when the 1st category is getting closer? |
