What a great stage that was. Great win by Van de Broek. Vino and Evans have to be the favourites now. I can see Wiggins taking the yellow jersey after the TT, but Evans and Vino will be stronger in the mountains. |

Nice job from VDB there, an excellent burst of speed to finally break the elastic.
As a side note: Am I the only one who finally had enough of the Eurosport commentary when they started talking about EBH as an even outside chance for the Tour de France overall?

If my memory doesn't lie, than Armstrong has been only one in last 15 years, who was able to win Dauphine and Tour in same year. |

Yes, Carlton Kirby is a lovely man, but his commentary leaves a lot to be desired sometimes. How on earth he thinks EBH is a contender for the TdF I do not know. He regularly makes these mistakes. The main Eurosport cycling commentator, David Harmon, is fantastic though - very knowledgeable, very professional and often very insightful.

I am not surprised that much about Hagen being at top at the end. He is good climber and showed it in Oman finishing 2nd behind Gesink. But to see Wiggins climbing is a good news. Thomas was there at the end too. Looking good for Wiggins to take yellow in the TT. Also with such long TT, Thomas and Hagen should be good bets for Top 20 if they climb like that.

How on Earth did Boassan Hagen finish in front of the majority of the tean leaders? Fantastic ride by him. Cadel for overall.

Watching replay now, it wasn't Thomas 6th. It was someone pretedning to be him. Only one Sky in top 10. Very unselfish work from Uran at the end. Good team spirit. Hagen rode very well, he was actually supposed to be Sky's leader at Amstel but he broke his ribs and couldn't start. |

to be fair though, EBH probably has a better chance then Wiggins at winning. It looks like Wiggo has only got one climbing speed and as soon as the favourites go he just goes backwards. |

Awesome stage from team europcar
-V. Jérôme in the breakaway
-Thomas Voeckler attacking in the last kms and ending 9th
-C. Kern triying to counter attack 2 kms from the finish and ending in top 20
-Pierre Rolland finishing 13th just after the favourites (or the rest of them actually)
And looking forward to what T. Pinot will do in this Dauphiné.
Team Europcar !!
RIP Wouter

Not wasting their best shape of the year for a one week race. |

They were too slow today though, even if they're just building up for the Tour. |

Wait .. youre saying EBH has a better chance of winning the TDF than Wiggins?
I dont think Wiggins has much chance at all of winning, if any, but please, whatever chance he has, is more than EBH.

Wiggins is best hope for Sky by a mile, but still that hcance is slim. Top 10 would probably satisfy him.
Though EBH has massive chance for Green Jersey. Half way intermediate point gives 25 points. Same as getting 1st in sprint. If he will constantly making top 5 in sprints and podiums on hillier stages they ought to be close in rankings with Cav. Than escape on mountain stages and winning intermeidate points. That way he stand a chance, will be intresting. |
