Did anyone else notice Hushovd nearly dump Sagan into the sidewalk.
Also Lacombe is there.

Baden Cooke`s crash was just weird.
Everybody was watching on Swift and he didn`t follow Henderson, so he took an easy win after he had a gap. Nice tactic. |

I'm glad I'm not Cooke, looked like he was going to tear his crotch in half. |

Great result again, too bad he was boxed in by Goss and another rider, so Goss easily passed him, and Kevin had to wait for Goss to pass for him to accelerate.

Well I am happy with 2/2 anyway
Sky actually might be a threat to HTC at the Tour, with guys like Thomas and Flecha additional to the lead out squad.

It was Howard, not Goss.

I was just about to say it was Howard, also I should say he probably would have saved himself a top 5 if he had moved around Swift sooner.

And with Boasson Hagen on the end of the lead-out train

This tweet made me chuckle:
@sfc750
SuperFred Jaboffo
I hope BIg Jens Voigt didn't hurt the pavement too bad in Modesto... CA has no $$ to make repairs. #AToC

I was catching up with the first few stages i missed, and found this gem from a cyclingnews report:
Team Sky's Ben Swift lived up to his surname by blasting to victory in the sprint on a shortened stage 2 of the Amgen Tour of California,
Who writes this crap?
I wonder how Thor can live up to his name? Does he need to be leading every classification?

Three Canadians in the top 15 today. Too bad Hesjdal isn't looking for a top GC. You never know though. Look at the tour when he was supposed to be a helper. |

It says Jen See wrote it. (Buzzkill)
Freire really disapointed me, he had Hendersons wheel and he just gave up, would like to hear if there was anything wrong with him or what?

The third guy in that crash during that penultimate lap of Modesto was Will Dugan, riding for Team Type 1.
He saw the crash ahead and tried to take avoiding action but, unfortunately his bike got caught up with Jen Voight's rear wheel. He was travelling so fast that his bike flipped 180 degrees, he was thrown off backwards and the back of his head slammed into the road - whiplash.
According to a report I've just read this morning, he's OK and remembers everything. He got back on and finished the race about 2 mins behind Jens Voight.

I was already thinking about Dugan or this Spaniard from TT1 after seeing that all riders finished the stage and no UHC behind Voigt.
The German commentator is quite good actually but he is mixing lots of teams and riders. So everybody has seen the crash but he is talking as if the crash was totally different.
But good to know as his crash didn`t look very good. |

Today's stage should be more exciting than the last 2. My bet is a group of 40 over the top of Mt. Hamilton, then a solo winner goes on sierra road, with a small group of the pre race favorites a few seconds later. My pick is Talansky.

So what are your bets for the stage winner today?
My money is on Chris Horner... |
