My question is... which level of corruption does the UCI has?
Let's say Silvio Berlusconi is a 10 and... and.... ok, ok... it's not easy to find a 0. |

JESUS CHRIST Weylandt died?
I had to learn this from someone's sig, eh?
Well, that's what I get for avoiding the Giro until I can watch it.

I don't know anything about the Giro, and I'm trying to keep it that way until May 28th, when I'll get to start watching the stages. Sucks for Weylandt :\

Radioshack as the dirtiest surprises me somewhere around zero.
That said, a lot of the values just show that this can't mean all that much. The Schlecks so low for example.

Martin, me too. Gerdemann, the only two riders in the world that would surprise me less would be Hoogerland and Terpstra
Just out of curiosity, why Terpstra? I've heard about Hoogerland before, but haven't really heard or read anything about Terpstra.
Check your PMs.
Can I ask you to share that with the whole group or do you need to keep it on the down low because of your work for the secret service?

Apperently we could see Ricco returning to cycling...
According to Cyclingnews, Fanini (Amore et Vita) could imagine him riding for his team...
Interesting is the sub heading:
Team owner Fanini wants Italian to help the fight against doping
Riccò could make a come back with Amore e Vita

Rider agent Paul De Geyter is going to sue UCI over the leaked "suspicion report" on behalf of his riders (Boonen being one of them - he's not listed, though). |

I'm surprised no one mentioned this yet. I'm translating from www.eurosport.fr : https://www.eurosp...news.shtml
Police raid in Spain
26 people, among them a cycling club director and seven British people, have been arrested in Spain during an operation against an organised traffic of doping products and falsified medicines, announced the Spanish police today in a press release.
It was "the biggest international organisation acting in Spain for illegal traffic of medicines, human growth hormone, and doping products", according to the police, who claimed to have seized "700 000 doses of illegal pharmaceutical products and 10 000 HGH blisters".
Arrests happened in Madrid, Andalucia, and eastern Spain. "The head of a famous cycling team which counts among its ranks former European and World Champions" has been arrested "at the moment when they were receiving an important delivery of alpha-epoietin, a substance known as EPO." Besides, during two raids, "an important amount of doping products and steroids has been seized" added the police.
Police also dismantled a laboratory where "growth hormone, HGH and HGC (note by Aqua : what does this one stand for ?), was produced and packed" for internet sales purposes. Eventually, the network also dedicated itself to "international traffic of falsified medicines, mainly aiming to fight erection problems".
Geox sucking major monkey dicks at the Giro, anyone ?

There's no former WC in Geox though?
Anyway, it's just sad that the Spanish police is doing such a freakin' good job in the anti-doping fight, and all gets ruined by the politicians. |

My bad. Apologies to Geox and their fans.
I was thinking of Evgueni Petrov, who once was European ITT U23 champion and U23 world champion (road and ITT - in Plouay - I was there as a spectator but not for the espoirs though, if anyone cares ).
He's at Astana now, which wouldn't be much of a surprise either. |

According to the Spanish police's website, the DS arrested is one of a masters team. But that is a bit contradictory with the "DS of a well-known cycling team" part. Well, I don't have a clue, but with the arrests being made in, among other parts, Dénia (near Calp, north of Alicante, a zone which, along Girona, is THE dopers resort in mainland Spain) it could be whoever. Not necessarily from a spanish team either. |

I was respecting you not wanting the Giro spoilt, but I warned you which stage not to download and watch (on MSN). You can get it on CT... and it is not an easy watch at all.

Doping ring in Spain? Nah, I don't believe the media
In other news, UCI has been told that none of the ProTeams intend to take part in the Beijing World Tour race. |
