My team choosen and pretty happy. Got 6 leaders and one massive bargain for 2 points. One sprinter which impressed this year and two stage hunters.

I must be blind, because I haven't seen anyone special with only 2 points. |

I've just joined too, nice idea, I think it can be rather funny to see who we chose, even if I guess it will be the same riders often, at least for the leaders. |

69 teams
should be a good competition. imagine if the GIRO had 69 teams of 9 riders. thats 621 riders.
Imagine if the Giro had 69 teams of which 60 had managers who picked the same riders.... That would be 50 riders or so.
imagine 60 managers shouting in your ear. "SPRINT SPRINT" "NO RIDING"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and their jerseys are divided into 60even stripes with each team jerseys |

As I'm leaving now it's time to reveal my team for all of you guys :-)
I have listed them according to points:
Alberto Contador 22
Mark Cavendish 20
Tyler Farrar 16
Stefano Garzelli 12
Domenico Pozzovivo 10
John Gadret 6
Marco Pinotti 6
Jan Bakelandts 2
Fabio Sabatini 2
I would've loved to have Michele Scarponi, José Serpa and Alessandro Petacchi in my team, but reckon that my selection could potentially give the better hand.
I have also been looking into a couple of "bargains", whom I hope will underperform in contrast to Sabatini, Bakelandts and Pinotti, those are:
Brice Feillu, Paolo Tiralongo, Dario Cataldo, Jackson Rodriguez, Simone Stortoni, Diego Ulissi and Eros Capecchi.
Good luck to everyone... Hopefully the TTT will end like this:
HTC Colombia
Liquigas
Team Saxo Bank
and then some smaller teams

Interesting decision to go for 2 sprinters in one of the hardest Giro routes ever! Makes things interesting I suppose, as I dont think too many will have done that.

That team will give you some nice points in the first flat stages, but then in the mountains, your team will have to depend mainly on Contador. And then see if Pozzovivo and Garzelli do a better Giro than last year, and Pinotti and Gadret keep impressing in the mountains.
I chose a sprinter that I hope he can get into breakaways. And I don't even count on him being with the best in the flat stages! |

I went with this selection:
Alberto CONTADOR [26] SBS
Stefano GARZELLI [12] ASA
Emanuele SELLA [14] AND
Rafael VALLS FERRI [6] GEO
Mark CAVENDISH [20] THR
Christophe LE MEVEL [4] GRM
Thomas LOVKVIST [8] SKY
Marco PINOTTI [6] THR
Lars BAK [4] THR
I'm hoping for some stage-hunting by Bak, Le Mevel and Valls, but I'm not sure it'll happen. |

Pretty one-sided team I've got. Let's see how that turns out. Ditched Rodriquez in favour of Sella in the last minute. |

Manuel BELLETTI [6] COG
Marco PINOTTI [6] THR

I went with this team:
Michele SCARPONI [18] LAM
Vincenzo NIBALI [22] LIQ
Igor ANTON [14] EUS
Joaquin RODRIGUEZ [14] KAT
Alessandro PETACCHI [16] LAM
Steven KRUIJSWIJK [2] RAB
Alexander KRISTOFF [2] BMC
Roberto FERRARI [2] AND
Tiago MACHADO [10] RSH
I dropped Contador, and put Scarponi and Machado in the team instead, hopefully they score more than Contador alone, eventhough I doubt it Kristoff is there because he's norwegian, and both he and Ferrari has shown themselves as decent sprinters. Kruijswijk will hopefully be as offensive as he was last year.
Having said that, I have no clue whether my team is strong or not, hopefully it will turn out to be a fun competition anyway |
