The second stage is another flat one but the stage final is really hard! It´s just too hard for the pure sprinter there. After a great performance in San Luis, Rigoberto Uran is my favourite for today´s stage win but let´s see.
Steven Cozza was the only rider in today´s breakaway. With a nice solo ride he improved his shape and he also got 18 points for the sprint competition!
Pity, but with only 15 kilometres to go, Cozza was brought back to the pack. However, a great ride by him today and maybe it´s just the beginning of a great tour for the American.
The last kilometres were already reached but there weren´t any sprint trains. We had only one rider in the first part with Huzarski. Which means the most important man from NetApp was strong enough to sprint with the overall favourites.
Vanendert was in front for a long time but then came Chadwick on the right side with a great sprint. This would be a big surprise for all of us. The Pure Black rider was completely on his own while no one of his team-mates were able to help him on the last kilometres. Uran and Petrov were just behind them but they didn´t look really fast.
What a stage final by Glen Alan Chadwick! He takes the very surprising stage win with Vanendert and Uran behind him. Huzarski lost some metres in the end but he came with 26 seconds behind the stage winner.

Well with a nice sprint finish, Chadwick was able to get the yellow jersey yesterday but we´re really excited if he´s able to hold on today. Uran and Petrov might be the biggest favourites for the stage win. Huzarski will try to follow them but it should be a hard mission
The stage was controlled by a bigger group. The most famous name there was Adam Hansen from Omega Pharma.Tomasz Marczynski was able to get 16 KoM points and the of course the jersey for tomorrow.
With more than 30 kilometres to go, Glen Alan Chadwick was already on his own while his team-mates had no chance to stay with him.
The first real moves came by Rigoberto Uran and Petrov followed by Huzarski. Chadwick had some problems to go after them while the break was still in front with Tomasz Marczynski in the leading position.
Well, the break was too strong today and they really deserved this stage win. Tomasz Marczynski wins the stage in front of Ortega and Adam Hansen. Petrov and Uran were able to reach them in the end so they got some seconds to Chadwick and Huzarski.
Chadwick lost more than a minute today with Huzarski just behind him. A 14th position is quite good for our team while Uran takes the overall lead with 8 seconds to his main rival Petrov. Huzarski is in the top 10 now but the fight at the front might be a nice thing to watch at the next stages.

LE SAMYN
So we decided to take part in another race these days. We took the Belgium classic `Le Samyn`. Our plan is to get a nice position there, for collecting some points in the Continental Rankings. The competition is good but not unbeatable for us.
The race profile is quite interesting as we´ve sent three possible captains for the stage finish. Del Nero might be the strongest but his shape isn´t really good at the moment so Schillinger or Gottfried could be the better choice but we will see it in the end of the race when the last climb is reached.
Our main rivals for today could be Bonnet, Leezer, Van Hummel, Downing, De Haes or even Casar. I´m really excited about the race process because I´m currently not sure if some puncheurs will try their luck on the final climb. |

LE SAMYN
Well, as I told you, the race should be decided on the final climb. I don´t think the breakaway can keep it up until the end but let´s see!
There was big group in front today with nice names such as Rohregger, Veikkanen and NetApp rider Reschke. The pack gave them a gap about 2-3 minutes but not more. With 30 kilometres to go they were brought back.
No one of the real puncheurs attacked on the final uphill so they sprinters were able to build some trains today. Also our team was in front with Schillinger and Gottfried while Del Nero wasn´t able to stay in the first part of the bunch. Schillinger was leading out his team-mate Gottfried who was in a better day shape.
Maes form Quick Step made his move with a great acceleration. Gottfried showed a great reaction, following Maes. But there were still some metres to sprint.
And we finally got another podium! Maes was too strong for us just like De Backer form Skil - Shimano. Even Schillinger was able to finish in the Top 15 which brought us the victory in the team competition!

I think it was 62 in front of the race
Gottfried and Schillinger were ~ 70-75. |

The 4th stage is the second hardest before the last mountain arrival tomorrow. Two hard climbs are waiting today and Huzarski´s shape is getting better and better! The biggest favourites today might be again Uran, Petrov and Vanendert.
Again we were able to bring a NetApp rider into the break. With Roelandts and Geschke also some famous names found the way to the front just like Daniel Schorn.
On the first hard climb of today´s stage it was Vanendert and Mahoric from Adria Mobil starting a great move. Huzarski was able to follow them for the moment.
In the short downhill a bigger group came together with Uran, Vanendert, Petrov and Huzarski. Mahoric was the only one catching the break. He rode an amazing stage final! Vanendert and Uran attacked again with 15 kilometres to go.
Only Rigoberto Uran was strong enough to reach Mahoric after the second climb.
30 seconds behind them, it was Petrov and Huzarski fighting for a great result and for some seconds in the overall classification.
The sprint began at the front with Uran in a nice position. Mahoric really deserved this stage win, so is Uran going to sprint for the stage?
No! Uran is a fair leader. Mahoric takes a great stage win for his team and he improved his overall position. He´s on the podium and the new King of Mountain with 30 points!
Another big day for NetApp! Petrov was unstoppable in the end but Huzarski finished as 4th which is just great. Great news he´s 6th in the overall after this stage.
