That is true but this quote was what made me go ???

Not only the yikes, but also the comparisson to Guldhammer. I believe those are in a different category regarding talent.

Guldhammer may be better, but that doesnt mean Eastman will be useless

With Eastman considering his age he is a talent that will be around for some time. Guldhammer is also highly talented as well - it depends how these riders are trained (and used) as to how useful I guess.

Both riders had very good showings here. It was a bit of a throwaway comment anyway. I just noticed that Eastman was 19 years old (or is that 20 years old) and so he would be around for this race for a couple of years.

Happy with 2 in the Top 10 and 2nd placed team, do feel that Betancourt might have placed higher if he was the leader rather than Summerhill, but no complaints otherwise

I don't think I said that, but looking at the DB he shouldn't become more than a luxury helper if not trained imo. Of course he can do a decent result if he is captain, but on paper I can't see him win anything, nor being close, as I can with Guldhammer. He could potentially win Major Classics or atleast top 3-5 in them.
