Paris Nice Stage 2:
The stage will probably suit sprinters the best. Our sprinter is Drujon. He probably wont win but he could get a high place. Our main goal is to be in the break with one of our riders that has a shot at the GC and hope they can get back some time that was lost yesterday.
Kiryienka as planned was in the breakaway. Although it was destined to be brought back, Vasil was the last rider to be caught before the sprint-finish.
Drujon would have to work for himself as the remaining Caisse riders in the peloton were all designated co-leaders or GC Captain.
Bonnet won the stage but he was nearly passed in the final metres after McEwen made quite the run for the line.

Hadn't recalled that, but is a nice fact.
Also no updates until tommorow because I am quick to get angry today after a very bad math test which I for sure flunked. Everything just went blank and I couldn't remember any of it. So hopefully I'm doing better tommorow.
Edit: And of course the next stage is seriously the most fun you'll ever have reading about a flat stage. So much happened.
Edit2: Thanks Tuco.

65 is a good starting point for a sprinter prospect in my opinion, but 53 flat is a bit worrying.
Either way, great start and keep it up. |

Paris Nice Stage 3:
So the stage is mostly flat but it does have a few hills positioned at key points in the race. Again our goal is to get in the break as we have no sprinter here with us.
The BOTD. Soler attacked nearly 40km into the stage and created a group after the peloton chased all the previous moves.
Now fast forward to 4km left, and the break caught now, we have Gutierrez leading out Kiryienka, as Kiryienka does have a bit of a track background.
But disaster strikes as Gutierrez falls.
Bringing down with him is about 40 other riders, most are GC favourites, like Evans, Anton, Martin, Vino, and Cunego.
Now back to the sprint. Hutarovich comes around the final corner.
But the Aussie, Robbie McEwen comes from way behind to take the victory. And by a large margin.
Now as the group with all the crash victims cross the line there is a clear gap to the back of the peloton and 1:46 seconds had elapsed since McEwen won the stage and almost 13 since Meier the last placed rider in the peloton had crossed the line. *Important*
3 Riders were unable to finish the stage. Bjorn Schroder (Milram), Stijn Vandenbergh (Katusha) and Joost Posthuma (Rabobank)
Stage:
GC:
Remains the same after the race official decided to eliminate the time gaps even though the crashes occured outside of 3km. LL Sanchez would have only been 45 seconds down on all of his GC rivals, but instead it remains +2 minutes. |

Tirreno-Adriatico
This years race looks like the perfect place to prepare for Milan-San Remo. Atleast for the sprinters, but most italian stage racers prefer T-A over Paris Nice and so they have headed here to face off against the best in a race which is lacking of mountain top finishes and just plain mountains in general. We brought Rojas the current PT leader to prep for MSR and we think with the field here it will be advantageous. Uran our young climber is looking for a big challenge so he is also participating. We think a top 10 is possible with him in the GC.
The contenders for the overall GC will show themselves within the first 3 days but before it even starts we have a pretty good idea of whom they will be. Denis Menchov is by the best rider here and has the best chance, with his TT abilities and good climbing legs. Hesjedal will be able to contend for the top 10 and maybe a stage win, but we don't think Top 3 is possible for him. Nibali, Ricco, Scarponi and Van den Broeck are the heavy hitters as it goes for the climbers and all should be hard to beat, if they are in form.
The sprinters contingent is still fairly strong with riders like Freire, Farrar, Bennati, Hagen, Ciolek, Cavendish, Boonen, Pozzato, A.Davis and Petacchi, but Rojas with his ability to get over small climbs gives him a huge advantage as none of the stages are completly flat. This should be a very exciting race.

Tirreno-Adriatico Stage 1
*I cant get the little flags to work atm so that is why I haven't used them this time. I keep getting 504 gateway timeout.
Its the first stage of Tirreno Adriatico and many of the italian teams will want to do well, not only today but the whole stage race. Most of the stage isn't flat but it should come down to a sprint considering its the 1st stage and none of the climbs are steep enough for only the GC favourites to get ahead on. Also the climbs are a little far from the finish.
The breakaway. It was only Bruseghin and Pirazzi, and Bruseghin claimed the most KOM points on the day and will wear the jersey tommorow. The break had no chance as Pirazzi basically gave up with 40km left.
The riders come on to the final straightaway. Freire's in front. Rojas in about 4th position.
Now further along, Rojas still in 4th position and the 3 big sprinters up front. Rojas doesn't look bad though.
But Boonen takes the win. It was a fun sprint to watch.
Rojas falls behind in the last 200m and finishes 11th.
*(He did that weird sprint bug where you almost completly stop)

Yeah I thought it was gonna be a good result and then all of a sudden he comes to a crawling speed. And thanks, PN stage 4 has been raced and it was exciting and surprising. |

Paris Nice Stage 4
This stage has our first real hills, which are perfectly placed for a late attack & win. We're not sure who our leader is at this point as our 3 best are way out of shape. This should get interesting.
With the non-important breakaway captured the gameplan changed a little throughout the main group as most expected the BOTD to stay away with a lead of 11 minutes with only 80km left until Astana chased it to shreds.
Final climb and Spilak makes his move. Smart move by Lampre as he's not exactly a GC favourite so they planned for him to be let free.
It seemed to be right with the plan for Lampre but they decided to have Cunego attack (or maybe it was against team orders?) who caught up to Spilak and joined him on the downhill. Kiryienka was our strongest rider today as LL Sanchez wa really having trouble.
With 2km left the two Lampre riders still remained in front. The hilly sprinters started to sprint and were gaining fast though.
Spilak wins though. Cunego 2nd. Lampre should be happy with this tactic.

Tirreno Adriatico Stage 2:
The stage has all the qualities of a successful break or late attack staying away, but with really our only overall shot is if it comes to a sprint.
A breakaway got away easily after several failed attempts from Bruseghin, as he was too dangerous.
But then Bruseghin attacked at the foot of the largest climb of the day in hopes that he could catch the BOTD and add more points to his KOM lead.
But Brusghin never makes it to them and Gerrans and Martens fly away from everyone else for the middle portion of the race.
Gerrans is all alone now thanks to a great move by him to seperate himself from the Rabo rider. 15km left and still a decent gap.
3km left and Gerrans lead is no longer cozy.
He is wiped up in the sprint with Sagan going by quickly.
Sagan wins, He turned on the gets in the last 200m and passed Farrar.

It might take like 20 races to get good at extreme but the wins will come eventually. |

Paris Nice Stage 5
This is really the penultimate stage in my mind. Its the only real Mountain top finish but its barely that. But with a small climb in front of it too the total climbing the last 15km is still a fair amount.
Now if I told you this was most boring stage ever and nothing at all happened until the last 1km you wouldn't believe me would you? But thats exactly what happened, the BOTD stayed away until the 2nd last hill and then the peloton started to break apart going the final ascent. No riders attacked and they just sprinted for the line.
But Purito wins on Mende. This climb should be renamed.

Paris Nice Stage 6
(Sorry game crashed before replay because I had too many other background programs open.)
The day began with a large amount of full on attacks but Bbox wanted to bring them all back, but finally 60km into the stage a group of 4 made it out, including Kiryienka. This group stayed away until they had just made it under the 10km to go banner. The sprint was on and some of the hilly sprinters still had juice in the tank.
Haussler ended up winning, and Gutierrez was our best placed rider in the top 30.
Stage:

KOM
Kiryienka managed to claim maximum KOM points today and now has 1 more point than the 2nd place rider. Great achievement for the team.

Tirreno Adriatico Stage 3
Yeah I got the gateway timeout with the flags again so sorry. The stage should come down to a sprint with the only hills being quite a distance from the finish.
(click on this one for some reason only half is shown)
And sure enough it did. Sprint time. Rojas is in great position.
But Friere wins it. Petacchi just in front of Rojas for 3rd. (I'm quite happy with the result on extreme.
