Anything by Sergio Leone, Q. Tarantino, Danny Boyle (!), Stanley Kubrick, Billy Wilder.
Charles Chaplin!
And many more...
I also love The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Fight Club, Casablanca.
PS. Kick-Ass is pretty great, too. |

The Rocky Horror Picture Show? Are you on drugs?
I can recommend "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels", Jason Stathams first movie.

Lock, Stock is by Guy Ritchie, isn't it?
Rocky Horror is awesome, quite the cult film. |

I love Guy Ritchie, he makes great films. My favorite of him is RocknRolla! |

I've only seen the first two (Lock, Stock and 2 Smocking Barrels, and Snatch that I saw in a cinema) and the last two Sherlock Holmes by him, but I've enjoyed them all.
I'm not sure about Swept Away, Revolver or RocknRolla. The ratings are rather poor for the first two.
I might give them a chance some day though. |

You HAVE to watch RocknRolla, you can't go wrong, seriously!
Could be one of the greatest British movies of all time. Definitely made my top 10 of British movies (when counting Chaplin's movies as American) |

RocknRolla is indeed great, pretty similar to the first two "gangster" movies from Ritchie, but still this one is the best maybe.
You have very good taste for movies Ian,very similar to mine (Kubrick,Tarantino, but my all-time favourite is Lynch).

Favourite shows:
'Allo 'Allo - incredibly witty and funny
Top Gear - although the last couple of series have been a bit dull humor wise
Family Guy up to series 6
American Dad up to series 3
House MD up to series 5 - really got bored after that
Favourite movies:
Pulp Fiction, by far, & anything by Tarantino
The Godfather I & II
Fight Club - too bad it spoiled my reading experience, having obtained the book after some time
Scarface
The Shawshank Redemption
Leon
And while we're at the RocknRolla subject, I think I saw it 3 or 4 times, it's a very enjoyable movie, but I can't seem to overlook the fact that it lacks something, an x factor, that makes other gangster movies brilliant. |

You and I are alike!
Lynch is an amazing director, I love Mulholland Drive, and I love Blue Velvet, and much more! He's really good.
If you like Lynch, you might also like the movies All That Jazz, and Dead Man (by Jim Jarmush)
Thanks for the compliment, I'll be going to film academy next year, actually |

Another great filmmaker is Miyazaki, a Japanese animator, mostly hand-drawn. Check out Spirited Away & Princess Mononoke. |

I don't think it's very compliant with Intouchables though.
Intouchables is another of those bubble gum comedy, with so many pathos, low humour, etc. I haven't even seen it, tbh. But I'm disappointed to see it's beaten all the records here (biggest number of entries, etc.).
Damn, how much I hate those comedies...
French police films are often excellent though. Check out those by Olivier Marchal for example, or any with Roschdy Zem playing in it. |
