Hushovd missed the green jersey this year because he can't sprint for pennies. |

Thor could win a game of connect 4 in three moves. |

I've heard that Thor once generated 1.21 gigawatts during a sprint.

Even the Hushovd fans didn't really think he could do that so now they are in shock.

Someone did bump this thread right after the finish of the WC, but the post was deleted to avoid revealing the result to those watching the re-live. |

Might not fit in this "serious" thread, but since it's about Hushovd.
The most known sponsorguru in Norway (Jacob Lund, DNB Nor) says that Hushovd most likely doubled his marketing value. Pretty interesting imo (I study Business and Administration), I bet his income from Criteriums will rise alot aswell with the jersey.

I'll quote issoisso's post from earlier this year:

Honesty is his middle name, for those who don't know him.
With the other news coming out from cycling these days, Hushovd is a great world champion to have promoting the sport.
He seems to be a popular winner in the peloton too, garnering praise from Pozzato, Davis, van Avermaet, Gilbert etc.
PS. yeah, I messed up, posting this on the old thread first... |

I should really have ended that post with:
"Note: Kirsipuu rode with O'Grady for a long time"

Good point. I definitely agree.
But on the other hand everyone who was looking like taking the race win yesterday was a pretty good ambassador as well, so i am still a bit annoyed
Anyway, it is great to see races like the WC's becoming much less of a drug-fest than GT's!

I should really have ended that post with:

Or with: "There's a OP blood bag with no owner with the name 'Tor' on it. And Carlos Barredo has a particular way to write Thor's name."
And no, I'm not trying to flame at all. |

*Prepares for Norwegians to kill Kumazan.*
Honestly though, if Cav had won, us Brits would've been just as bad. |
