Indeed. All for Gilbert I guess. |

On top of that, this has been the first time since of few years that it's everything on one person. With this team (even the guys not in the Vuelta are in great shape), he has a big chance but i'm afraid of the "absolute favorite" role.

Actually last year was already all for Gilbert.
The riders all agreed on it, with the condition that in 2010 and 2011 it would be all for Boonen.
Except Boonen's injured now, so...

If I remember Gilbert wasn't so "absolute favourite" last year... Cancellara, Valverde and others were considered with similar chances... Nothing like that this year... |

If Gilbert manage to keep his form, his my favourite. But don't forget about Kolobnev - the WC rider(!).

I am still waiting for the officials. If they really change the parcours because of the heavy rain, the course can be easier and Greipel becomes on of the big favourites or the course will be a bit harder and there are also a few different favourites.
On the actual course my favourites are Gilbert in a fast race and Greipel in a slow race. |

The course is unlikely to be changed, plenty of time for the water to drain. And you think Greipel would beat Cavendish? Id be surprised if the situation occured that Greipel made it over the hills and Cavendish did not.

Hehe, okey. It was "experts" that said it on national televison They might have said that because this years editon has 90km with flat before the hills. And in Denmark it's hill's right from the get go?

Are there hills in Denmark? I remember me and my mates were there and iirc the largest hill we drove over were 20-30 meters :-p If the manage to make a hard (hilly) WC in Denmark I'm impressed :-p So yeah, next year it's Cav all the way.
BTW, if Spain sends J.Rodriguez he can be a good bet imo, he got the season of his life. And (I wont speculate, damn I did :-p) seem to never loose form

As I've stated a couple of times, the last stage of Tour of Denmark finished on next year's WC course. Roulston won - do I really need to elaborate? |

I don`t think Cavendish will come over the hills. In my eyes Greipel is a bit better on hills and could do it. Yes I am German and a bit I hope.
But most important is that Greipel has half of his HTC train and they know exactly how to prepare a sprint for him.
In generally I still don`t think that a sprinter will win. Gilbert is the big favourite and Cancellara, Rodriguez ... after him. |

I believe there's a chance a Freire or so could win a bunch sprint of 40 riders.
No Cavendish, no Greipel. No nothing.
Petacchi's a far better climber than either of them and has flat out said the course is way too hard for him to have any chance.
I'm still laughing at how Greipel said he had a chance last year, then after the race complained that the course was far harder than he'd been told.
Seriously, who just believes what they're told instead of reccon-ing the course?
