The problem is quite simple. Its not the stats as such - it is the game mode.
Detailed simulation Ive found to be absolutely pathetic at sprints. If you want a more realistic sprint result, you're either going to have to play the race in 3D, or use quick simulation.

But isn`t detailed simulation like 3D Mode. Just that you don`t build up trains...
Quick Simulation ignores the profile, so a small hill in the end doesn`t count.
If you play 3D and build a train, then the non-sprinters have less chances, but if you just watch without an own train, they will be in front. That`s probably why you have better results? Do you have an sprint train? |

I don't use the detailed simulation because I'm like stupid or something to figure it out properly
And yeah, having a train helps, but on the AI's side, it's now the sprinters who latch on to the relaying riders in the last kms rather than one-day or GC guys
If offense is the best defence, does it mean that defence is the worst defence?

Assuming that we're doing an identical stage in 3D and Detailed Sim - with all riders in the same position going into the sprint. From my experience with the game so far, the sprinters are far more likely to come through and win in 3D than in Detailed sim. On detailed sim Ive watched stages where the sprinters do nothing at all in the sprint, gaining little to no positions from where they started.

The game does work, maybe it does not work as expected.
But you are right, persons who buy the game before informing themself about its actual playability must be stupid. |

But nevertheless I enjoy playing the game. I play PCM since 2003/2004 and I know that it will be frustrating sometimes, but I enojoyed every version more than the last. That`s the reason why I buy the game year for year |

The only stages I feel are interesting and realistic to play are mountain-top finishes.
And while everybody complains about the crazy sprint AI, I think hilly and mountain-which-is-not-top-finish stage AI is as bad.
You will have 20 riders + attacking all the time, even on the flat. You will never see this IRL and AI must be changed so attacks only happen when it's a hill before the finish. And for attacks on hilly stages, you IRL won't see 20-25 riders attack, you will probably see 2-3-4 riders try get a gap.

Cyanide does only support problems with their original DB. Did anybody check if the problem is there also. |

But is it anything more rude than not responding to their customers? |

the prblem has nothing to do with stats. The problem is that the AI cannot make trains, its a basic flaw in the game that (as far as i know) didnt exist in previous versions but yet Cyanide are not going to fix it |

...except of mayor bugs. And for me this is a real mayor bug, so hopefully they do something even if I don`t really believe it. |

They are so stupid. Their forum is lacking international support already, but if they start to delete posts, they will loose even the most loyal members who helped out the noobs.
I will stop posting updates of my tools on that forum for now. |
