Regarding the Grand Tour of Britain: 3 stages on the Isle of Man seems excessive but understandable considering you have obviously spent ages on building the scenery for the IOM in another race. Love the stage in Scotland starting at Fort William, know that road and the stage before it. Wish you could make the riders climb Ben Nevis!
Tours in the south? Do go past my house
well a GT of britain was bound to be unrealistic. all of it is excessive and, as i said, the tob will probably never have a summit finish because it's the city councils that pay for them to come around. still, atleast the roads are realistic. One thing SN - on bikeroutetoaster there is a road up through cairngorm national park to over 1000 metres, a proper alp[ine climb. I couldn't find anything about it but it would make a great stage. you could go from Perth and take the passes by the Lecht and Glenshee ski stations and make it a real mountain stage. just a suggestion if you haven't built the stages yet.

Just realised there's a staged to Snake Pass. Great idea that. Shame that's all there is in the peaks.
Does it go near Mam Tor/ Winnats Pass way?
It uses Snake Pass early in the stage, then takes in the Cat and Fiddle, then up to Holme Moss and then back to Snake Pass for the finish. Ill take a look to see if it produces a tougher profile to go for Mam Tor/Winnats Pass early in the stage rather than use Snake Pass twice

Id be interested in seeing some of those mini tours and maybe adding a couple to my database - there are very very few British stage races to include, and Im not yet sure how the game will cope.
Yeh, I have a stage file for the whole Isle of Man - so it was quite easy to do 3 stages there for me. And actually, if a race like this was to go to the Isle of Man - it would do at least 2, and maybe 3 stages anyway - wouldnt make the effort to go there just for 1.
Ive stuck to where the roads take me, so no Ben Nevis Im afraid. Bealach Na Ba is the toughest road climb in Britain though, closely followed by the Great Dun Fell on my Lake District stage.

Ive not heard of that road/climb - and I did do a fair bit of research into Britain's toughest climbs. Ill investigate it - but im quite happy with my route as it is - so maybe it could be something to bare in mind if a fantasy Tour of Scotland gets made.

Yeah, i was confused by it. The best answer I could get was that it is an old road up something like the 'Bhen a Bhuird' which was contractually removed and landscaped over when some environmental agency bought the land. so maybe not that useful for you.
anyhow, i've made the race for 09 and here's the profile on bikeroutetoaster:
this is where the final climb apparently is on the map:
and here's the profile on rsm profiler because apparently the stats are different - longer and more climbing:

Could you send me the GPX for the bikeroutetoaster one? For soem reason when I did it, it told me the climb wasnt as high as that.

But yeh, Im now going to add Tour of Scotland somewhere to my plans - so I can include that climb. (And because as Ive already mentioned, I could do with a few more Brit stage races)

Ive updated Johan92's British Championships route after he sent me the stage file. Ive made the roads more realistic (width/markings), and moved the start.

It seems that it's a bit to much up and downs before the mountain.
And I guess that the flat things in the mountain comes from a flat turn. That can easily be fixed by moving the gizmo things outside the road point up or down.

The question mark was more over the timeframe. Id only done the 1 stage when I posted that, now Ive done 4.
And yes valverde, it is Fuji.

Sweet.
Your not planning on doing the Tour de Okinawa are you? Because if you are I might as well start another race, as you are a much better stage maker than I am. Thanks for these quick responses.
Edit: I would assume your not as its a small, small race and so far I cant actually find any info on the route.
