"Doesn't work" doesn't help us. We need a better description. |

do i need to start a new game to see the new stages?
those "new stages" are exactly what? (new graphics? or just new profile/info?)
thanks. |

Since patch 1.0.3.0 it`s possible to add some variants for tours.
That means that there will be different stages every year for the big races like most Pro Tour stage races, World championship, Volta a Portugal.
So there is a 2010 course and a 2011 course. It would be possible to make more for the next years but there are to less stages yet.
So if you install patch 1.0.3.0 then the first PCM Daily Pack (999mb) then the 2nd one (570mb) then you have to restart your career to have all the new fixes like these variant stages.

so, they're just variant stages, i thought they were current stages but with updated graphics and/or info/profile.
ps: when the stage pack of august 20 is released, will i need to start again all over?

Why just variants? Variants are much better than some infos and profiles

i'm not that informed about variants, as far as i know, they are just different stages in different years, not much value added by that in my opinion. |

It is. Imagine you play a longer career and you have the same course every year. So you attack on the same points and the same riders will be in front ...
It`s much better with different routes. |

Hi.
I havent updated to the latest patch yet incase i wouldnt be able to continue my savegame, so here I have some questions:
1) Can i continue my savegame with the PCMdaily Database even if I update to the latest patch?
2) Do I have to update anything else to get different stages in the races from year to year?
3) if I have to update database to get varity in stages, will I still be able to continue my career?
Thanks
They have this great beer here in England, I really love it. Its called Pint.

You can continue your career after installing the newest patch. You just have to update the local.cdb to avoid pink flags.
But as far as I know you need to restart your career if you want to have variant stages. |

Hi there,
my questions concerns doped riders (yes, I have read the FAQ).
I edited some things in the database, and a bit later I heard some people like Iljo Keisse are being suspended anyway, so I wonder how I could give him an injury like you did with the other doped riders.
Also with the expansion pack being released, can I benefit the updates aswell (apart for maybe edited stats, names of course) if I download the expansion pack but keep using the original database instead of the one included in the expansion pack? |

same as

As in giving him a doping injury?
In DYN_injury, fill this in for a new ID:
<DYN_injury>
<IDinjury>UNIQUE ID</IDinjury>
<fkIDinjury>312</fkIDinjury>
<fkIDformated_string>5835</fkIDformated_string>
<gene_f_duration>THE AMOUNT OF SUSPENSION DAYS</gene_f_duration>
<gene_f_timeleft>Same as above</gene_f_timeleft>
<gene_b_allowrace>0</gene_b_allowrace>
<fkIDrace>0</fkIDrace>
<gene_f_training_points_removed>0</gene_f_training_points_removed>
</DYN_injury>
In DYN_cyclist, find fkIDinjury (or something like that) for Contador and fill in the ID of the injury that you just created.
https://www.pcmdaily.com/forum/viewthr...pid=294350
also you might change the values of fkIDteam from "10" to "119" and fkIDcontract from "883" to "0" and fkIDstaff_trainer to "798" in DYN_cyclist + remove the whole row/line with IDxchange_cyclist value "883" from DYN_contract_cyclist for the Keisse example ... but that's just additional to remove Keisse from team Quickstep and make him a free rider without any contract and trainer

the contained databases are the core of the whole expansion pack.
keep using the original database is almost the same as never have installed the expansion pack ... except of the less space, which remains at your hd
but if you just want to use the "variant" stuff of the expansion pack, then it should be fine to install the pack and keep using the original database ... so it depends, which content you want to use out of the expansion pack

Hello...
I wonder if any know if a rider like Gilbert can win a mountain stage?.
The reason im asking is because he has 83 in hill and 66 in Mountain. And mountain and hill almost the same so do anyone know?
Im on the edge... of glory

It depends on "gene_f_mountain" in STA_Stage.
0 = 100% hill stat counts on climbs
0.5 = 50%holl, 50%mountain
1 = 100% mountain stat for all climbs
So if you write a 0 in real mountain stages, he will be probably quite well
So if it`s 0,5, then his real strength is (83+66)/2=74,5
