The first patch?

When I read all these posts it sounds like the game is a lot worse after the patch, is that correct? With those bugs it´s impossible to play a career. This is just not good enough. |

I downloaded the much anticipated patch and yet still receive the runtime fail upon season start. Doesnt happen in career mode, only season, yet still frustrating since this was explicitly "fixed" in the patch. Runninbg windows 7 and all current C++ and DX files. Rather annoyed at epic patch fail. |

You must look at it on the bright side. We did get 2 more stages to fix old ones.
Edit: I stand corrected there is no bright side.

Can't get past 24th of October in career. Could before the patch came... Tried with two careers. First test with a career started before the patch, and one with a career with the original db after the patch.
This is horrible! A patch ruining more than it fixes!

From what i've heard almost every scouted rider is a new Eddy Merckx. 78 in TT, Cobbles, Mountain, Hill. And apperently there multiple.
Wow. Must be the release version. Scouting was fine in the beta.
it's pretty daunting...by 2013, a contador-skill-level peleton will be the norm!

There is no "careerloadingbug". If your save got corrupt then you have to start a new career or use the backup. The backups are in a folder called weeklysave (or similar).
There might be several reasons (bugs) why the save will be corrupt but as soon as it is broken it cannot be fixed. I think that you don't understand what I mean: When I click on "load (game)" in the head menu, pcm crashes, I can't even select a savegame, it's the menu that doesn't work anymore
Did you start a career before this problem. If you did delete it from my documents in Solo. Or atleast remove it from the folder to see if that is the actual cause. (Likely is becasue Lachi knows a lot and it would help to cooperate with him)  It doesn't even work without saved games in the map 
I get exactly the same. It has nothing to do with what saves are present.
On clicking load game, the game goes to "waiting for connection" briefly and then crashes. Only happening with season at moment, loading my career save is still working. |

We noticed - and also had a news article about it until I noticed that the list of bug fixes were similar. Which, I guess, means that they uploaded the 1.0.1.6 version... |

No, the bugfix was in the changelog and the corrupt savegames worked after patching |

Basicaly, i should wait a few more weeks before trying Career Mode in this (Taking into account that it probably will take some time before you guys are able to complete a Expansion Pack aswell. Amazing amount of work you are putting into it btw)
Guess i'll continue my Liquigas-Career in 09 then.

Spoiler Stages:
- Changed route "Pau-Tourmalet" of the Tour de France.
Career:
- Goals changed: sponsor’s contentment for Classics is not counted twice anymore; goals are displayed, the race date is now displayed.
- Magazine improved: fixed some riders pictures and the choice of the rider of the month.
- Improved the career loading time
- Fixed the custom team ranking at the career start and update it when the year changes.
- National and Global champions are now saved.
- Training camps: Fixed booking dates for training camps and deletion of characteristic bonus at the end of the training camps.
- Fix the October, 24th crash (1.0.1.6 only)
Season Mode:
- Fixed a crash in Season mode.
- Removed incapacitating injuries for this mode.
Races:
- Improved stability of long period of gaming.
- Tunnels : Fixed a rare crash on stages with tunnels and fixed a camera angle when getting out of a tunnel.

- Added handling of withdrawals in detailed simulation.
Multiplayer:

Interface:
- Navigation: Escape can now be used to close popups during the race and to perform a return in manager pages.
- Improved the information page before race: bonus points are now displayed with top priority.
- Added the automatic pause function when the player browses options during a solo 3D Race.
- New shortcut: CTRL + U hides (or displays) the interface during a 3D race.
- Improved the display of stage events.
- Changed colour to display distances between rider groups in race (Green -> White).

As I don't think that there's any DB changes between 1.0.1.6 and 1.0.1.7 (beta), the CyM Italy DB is compatible. Other databases on this site are not, however. |
