It would be great to change the training system. Now it can only raise skills before he starts to loose some with the age.
I think it should be much more complicated. I think there could be a base training and a speciality training. The base training could affect all of the skills and if it raises a skill then it happens just like now. It should mainly affect the STA, RES, REC, and DH skills and just a little bit the others. In my opinion this base training only needs 2 or 3 variants.
The speciality training could give skills much faster but it would only affect the FL, MO, HIL, TT(PRL), SP and COB skills and it can also decrease some skills. It should have more variations. This could bring us progressions like the one of Wiggins, or Rogers.
Just some example:
stage racer spec training could do this:
Tony Martin has 77FL, 75MO, 82TT and 74HIL now and with some stage racer training he could have 73FL, 78MO, 80TT and 76HIL. It may affect the REC and RES skills too, increase the first and decrease the second. |

A few quick thoughts:
Sponsor contracts (Team sponsors). When the contract with the team sponsor runs out they might offer you a new one, or not. If they do not you have to try to get a new main sponsor. Also the possibility to get more. Say you are BMC (just took a random team) and get promoted, maybe also Lidl (another random company) wants to sponsor you and you can get a bigger budget and turn into BMC-Lidl.
If the above gets implented, the possibility that teams does not get a new sponsor and have to stop. And new teams comeing around. Ofc for gameplay this should not be possible in the Top division.
More interactions with sponsors/riders. The sponsor might want you to sign that or that rider. Or more riders from a certain nationality. Or a rider you sign might want another rider on the team. Also riders can turn unhappy if they are the only rider of a certain nationality on the team. "Homesick" or feeling that they lack friends on the team. Also "fights" like Cav vs Greipel. Where one of them gotta leave the team or both turns unhappy (most likely if you got 2 riders of the same speciality around the same level).
Possiblity that riders turn unhappy for the above reason. A.Schleck turns unhappy for not haveing Frank on the team (as an example). Ofc this would need to be coded so that it only happens if you had a real possibility to sign Frank.
In contract negotiations riders could wish for helpers (like Contador does)
The ability to explain to riders (captains) that they are helpers in a particular race becuse of the form (or other reasons) not automaticly turning unhappy if they got a helper role (just look at Saxobank useing Spartacus and Frank as helpers in TDF, in PCM they would've had to be "free" riders, and maybe even then turn unhappy.)
When/If a new team is formed they might ask you to be their manager next year. Thus also telling you the budget, what type of riders they want etc. And then you have to try to sign riders for that team. (Think Luxemburg team with Kim Andersen)
Relationship between riders, and between riders/managers. Like in the above scenario that you take over a new team some of your old riders would be interested in following you. Higher chanse to sign riders that have a good relationship with you, or with riders on your team.
I might write more later :-p

Rider not coming to the start for no obvious reason - like personal causes or exhaustion.
And teams changing names and sponsors, and teams folding and forming. |

I've got some hopes and dreams for the next editon of the PCM series.
- Fix all the enoying bugs from PCM 10
- Make the AI do sprint trains at 8 km to go
- Have a historic part of the game. They don't have to make that part of the game. But leave it open for the community, so they can make files for it.
- Team changes names and kits. Same as above, leave it open for the community to make kits and stuff. Like they did with the stage variants.
- Be a pro mode, create a rider take him true the steps to become a pro. Start by riding for NT(?) in the u23 races. Get a contract with a PT or a CT team. When playing in 3d mode. You should get orders pre-race or during the races. Get "skill points" for reaching your pre-race goals, and for completing milestones.

BE A PRO MODE
And you can only play with that rider you are, and will get commands from the manager or team leaders.
Like: "Help Cavendish in the sprint", " say to Goss and Renshaw that they is going to help you win", "Protech Sastre over the first mountain", Go to a breakaway to get points in the green yersey.
Could be fun, and you could be able to talk to the manager and other teams.
And riders.
+ Talking to the team about what to do trough the season and to spesific stages. And be called in to talk, with the manager about contract and secret planns.
And press conferences and tv news.
Im on the edge... of glory

The most important thing is they fix the stability issues.
Other than that, since the latest AI patch the game is really enjoyable. |

How about a consitency stat? You have some riders who always has a bad day, like Sammy Sanchez. This stat would have an impact on the daily form. A rider with a high consistency stat will have less chance of getting bad daily form and higher chance of getting good daily form. And the other way around for riders with low consistency stat. This has been a part of FM for as long as I remember, and I think it works really well. |

And also there should be free rider teams at the NCs, it is ridiculous to see 25 riders at some of them. All you have to do then is to go in a breakaway and you win. And there could also be national teams at races with few participants. |

Some quick thoughts:
* Greater stat range (50-100?).
* New type of skills: lead-out(navigation etc in the final), bike-handling (more likely to fall get into trouble etc), mental (poor mentality causes weaker performance if things haven't gone your way on earlier stages etc, great mentality sharpens the rider in important stages, races etc).
* More news about riders, races (before and after), teams, roomers and so on.. (not the exact same text etc all the f... time..)
* Ability to see riders skills in flat, fighter etc (without clicking on each rider) when creating a custom team
* Filtering-system for skills, age etc when creating a custom team
* more logical menus in career-mode(less clicking)
* Finance and sponsor improvements in career-mode (great summary by Sykkelninja). Main-sponsors withdraws, new main sponsor offers
* More complex negotiations when signing riders. Some riders wants high salary, others wanting role as captain, some focus on races the team is attending, team-mates, requires signing of additional rider(s) etc). Dunno if this is just for me, but if I contact a rider in say for example in February, I get the return-message: "negotiations will start in July", but it never does.
* A search-field in career-mode which searches through the whole database (trainers, scouts, riders, teams, races and so on).
* More playable for new players. A tutorial for the different tabs, options and so on in career-mode. More helpful tips (in magazine tab, logical?njee). Ability to choose a custom shirt in-game, manager-picture for a custom team (browse from anywhere on your hard-drive). Yeah, I know thees things are possible to do with editors, in the databases, in the files etc. but I think new players would appreciate it.
* Fix the alt+tab problem (without have to disable start-up videos).
* Riders with ambitions for (and well-placed riders)the polka-dot or sprinters jersey goes for the immediate sprints and KOM.
* Managers of other teams could get fired for lack of results and so on, and you could apply for the job.
* Teams founding and folding throughout the years:
- Should be some logic in new squads
Personal relationships between riders, sponsors, trainers, managers, good mix of riders(Not like Contador, Schlecks S. Sanchez, Menchov etc), main goals and riders match. I mean: new team with, lets say the Schlecks as absolute leaders shouldn't be targeting the cobbled classics as main goals etc.
* Downhill and fighting should be trainable.
* Personal relationships between riders, sponsors, managers.
Variables: Nationality, previous teams, co-work, media enemies etcetcetc
* Replace or get rid of the terrible music
* Commentator-improvements. Only tested the English one though.
Talk about riders, teams, line-ups, history(of riders, teams, races), the season, future, conditions, bikes, technical etcetc. Just get some variation. Not the same old same...
Would be awesome with detailed commentary in sprints. Like :" Hushovd takes Cav's wheel. The Garmin-Team is building as fast-going train on the right-hand side of the road. Hushovd cant keep Cav's wheel" and so on. Would make so much more exciting than: "And there goes the mass sprint, it's going to be veery faaast".....
* Falling in ITT/TTT (I am not sure if its possible in PCM10, never experienced it).
* Wind and weather condition-changes in TT's. Does it have any effect in PCM10??
Bad English and quick(stupid)? thoughts, sorry.

wildcard request result emails should be B4 the final team entry list email, at the moment its the other way round, if im not on the final entry list then i wouldn't need an email telling me im unsuccessful in my wildcard request.
I would like the podium not to change until i click next, at the moment they flash past b4 i can take in the result annd if i win a big race i can then savour the moment.
when riders re-sign it shouldn't say 'sad to leave' on riders profile.
U23 riders who are near the top of U23 world rankings should request higher salary when offered contract. At the moment i dont need to scout for riders, i just go to the U23 world rankings and sign the top 10 an they all only want 2000 salary. This is a cheat.
drop the salary fund and introduce loans (i seem to remember CM2 had loans) so if our team does go in debt they can have a couple of seasons to get the finances sorted |

I'm not sure if this has been said before... Make Training camps less of a cheat. Make the camps have a significant disadvantage as well as the advantage making the choice of whether to train harder... or just change the whole system.
Instead of training a specific stat, make it changes in the riders physique. Have choices like:
Gain Weight - increases power stats- FL, SP, TT, COB but decreases HI MT, REC, STA
Lose Weight - increases ACC, MT, HI but decreases SP, TT, COB
Teach others (for older riders) - increases potential for all teammates in the riders best stat (increase depends on stat amount) but speeds up rider decline
Etc...
Also, Make the equipment do something, or remove it. Just give each team a bike (make it so Daily can customize it if you can't use real sponsors) but don't make it a changeable option.

Fighting stat doesn't change, it's just likelihood of attacking, I think. |

- Fix 3d gameplay issues (sprint, kom and intermediate sprints)
- Fix contract negotiatons issues (budget wrongly calculated, riders willing to wait july but continue to decline offers even in september)
- Develop contract negotiation (including races in which a rider wants to be leader)
- Re-add leader's personal programs as in PCM07
- Re-add rider's morale management as in PCM07
- Re-add riders' role setting at the beggining of each season as in PCM06
- Fix relay command in breakaways (riders hearthrate goes tremendously high when they go back, and positions are continuosly mixed in uphill sections, resulting in a huge waste of energy)
- Turn the protection command the other way around. The leader should follow a teammate wheel, the teammate should set the pace and the leader should save energy for having just to focus on the teammate's wheel. (that's how it is in real cycling) This will make it also easier and more realistic when you want to set high pace on mountains. |

I personally think that they need to make PCM all in real time,
especailly last 50 km. It would look more like simulation and less of a game. Right now you have to pause and babysit riders who are in different groups. All I need is an actuall tour with riders stats as close as developers think, and given that try to win a grand tour. That is what I call SIMULATION. BUT in this case the simulation part should be polished to perfection (including GPS data for courses), that is what I call immersion. All this fiddling with contracts, camps and other staff just plain and simply remove it is too cheesy. Have 3 grand tours and a few other main ones. Thats all I ever need. |
