Wiggle Professional Cycling Team greatly enjoyed their dealings with Metinvest-Emirates over the past season, even if the Wiggle manager's incompetence almost fouled the relationship. Luckily the end result was acceptable, and a lesson was learned for free.
As always, Wiggle, although the sponsor is indeed pulling out of big team sponsorship in the coming season, looks to support teams below them and offers space for loanees on the team. A rider of Andrea Palini's quality is always very much welcome on the team and a spot on a grand tour would be all but assured to enable his full development.
After a less-than successful season, favoured rider Mikhail Ignatiev could indeed be looking for a short, or even possibly a long term move away from the team, and as always, dealing with friendly managers is preferred.
Adrian Malori on the other hand has been informed that his place on the squad is very safe, with the aim to help development of Italian time trial talent.
A "Hands Off" warning has been released by the managerial staff at Wiggle Professional Cycling Team. Although the team is deep in negotiations with potential new sponsors as Wiggle has pulled the plug, time is still being put in to forging new and old relationships with riders looking for a spot on a squad in the coming season.
Dario Cataldo, sold last season for a whopping transfer fee, was a missed part of the squad over the season. His abilities on the bike are second to none in overperforming, and it is said that negotiations between rider and the management is at an advanced, non-confirmed, yet highly-likely-to-happen, but not assured stage.
As such, the management is issuing a "Hands Off" warning, in so much that they're prepared to pay "silly money" in re-hiring the talented climber. You have been warned!
(All intended in a jokey manner, please feel free to bid on him, I'll just out-bid you )
Team Metinvest-Emirates is happy to hear from "former" Wiggle management about possible continuation of Andrea Palini's development cooperation, we have no reason to think about other options for him in 2014.
Also thanks for adressing the riders availability, we respect the state of things regarding Malori. The second mentioned rider is still the main option and target for us, although we are sure there could be fight from other manager, who is close to manager rjc43.
Also i will probably forget there is some Cataldo.
