Stage 5
This is the queen stage of Tour Down Under. 2 times over Willunga Hill. We will ride for our captain Sam De Vos.
Todays breakaway was with 5 rider Rasmussen, Gertman ,Eichler, Andriatto and Bewley. Gertman have to go in the breakaway because Andriatto is a fread for his moutain jersey.
Suddenly the breakaway got 4 new riders up Mours, Kohler, Sicard and Velo.
Behind them a chasing group was made. With 5 riders Willems, Loddo, Mol,, Rocheand Henderson.
Soon They allso got up to the breakway. So now there were 14 rider in there.
When the breakaway got over Williunga hill frist time, Kohler, Mouris, Mol, Henderson and Loddo was left behind. Sicard was the first over the top, but Gertman was right after him. The Peleton got to the breakaway second time over Willunga hill. Willems and Roche were the only ones left
When the peleton got over the top, Paschke and De Vos attackted.
Soon Willems got caught, Paschke stopped when they got to Roche. De Vos kept attacking, Because behind Paschke and Roche.... Was Langeveld. He is number 7. in GC
Langeveld and the rest of the group got caught with 6 km. to go. And De Vos was still in front with over 1 min. to the pack. He could win !
SAM DE VOS WON !!!!! Intersport Cycling first victory !!
AND HE GOT THE YELLOW JERSEY !!!!
