Thanks Chris. I now have the 'feel' for the timetrials and quite enjoy them, too. Just finished Giro, and its my first stage race win for Cunego! I managed to dominate from start to finish, with Cuengo in the pink jersey for 19/21 stages...Result! I got a whole wad of cash for this, so a few more big names (Cancellara and Freire) will be joining Lampre next season...
So for 2008:
Cancellara/Ballan - Cobbles
Rogers/Cancellara - TT
GC - Cunego, Rogers, A.Schleck, Caruso/Vila (I think someone else should come in for these two, then they will be super domestiques)
Sprints - Freire, Bennati, Napolitano, Cavendish
I think I'm going to dominate! |

Cunego's a meanie. In the end I sent Ras and Dakkor on a break from one third through a nice mountain stage. They lasted until the final ten km on the final climb to the finish when Cunego and Popyvytch overhauled Ras. Dakkor won by a couple of minutes from Cunego but Ras was a further minute back with Popy - the rest of the field trailing far behind.
So now Cunego is in pink with Ras back in fifth but Dakkor's up to second and probably is a more viable GC winner considering his form and his stronger ability on the flat and TT.
At least it frees Ras up a bit now to lap up the mountain points.
Freire also lasted VERY nicely up the big climbs.
Sky have the money but the other Brits kept the passion.
Why not check out my story of sexy new team Film4 - Asahi in the PCM10 Story section?
Much wub to: Cav, Millar, Lovqvist, Cunego, Hinc, Voigt, Cancellara, Menchov.
Wub to: Wiggins, Boonen, Beppu, Kloden, Gesink, Rogers, Moncoutie, Roche.

Yeah, I did notice that there was a credit that stuck out like a sore thumb due to it's ridiculousness of actually BEING there.

You know what's ridiciulous? My name is listed there because of a Danish translation. But can you choose Danish as a language? No, that was taken out of the game just before the release |

Do you know why they took it out CT? It seems very strange...unless you told them to translate Vinokourovs name to 'dopehead', and Rasmussen's to 'chicken'.
Talking of which, I replay any stage in which they win - I refuse to let the cheats win, even if it means replaying a few stages. I wish there was a way to remove them. |

Well, I think they removed it to put the game in a CD, not in a DVD.

The PSP-games are on a UMD, neither a CD nor a DVD.
They removed it because of some troubles with Sony (like the Multiplayer-part). I forgot the exact reason, though. |

If he didn't, then I want to hear more

I got the PC-version for free, but not the PSP-version. Besides, I get lots of news before everyone else |

Oi. Ras used completely legal means. Also he got chucked out for the whole "where was he?!" reason (and cos Prudhomme was hating the media circus so unfairly forced it). He also tested (repeatedly) non-positive so, erm, no bannings possible thankfully. He's also a mighty climber and a fine chickeny mass of manhood.
Now Vino on the other hand....
And possibly even Mayo now...
Still, I've decided entering cyclists into races when they're not on full fitness is a bad thing. The difference between Cunego (top double arrow fitness) and Rasmussen (diagonal arrow down fitness) up the bigger climbs in Italy is worrying, even with Ras' better rating.
Still it's good that form and fitness plays such an important part....

I think its pretty much clear what Ras was up to, but if he was in the clear and provided a clear and coherent story behind all this maybe I would change my mind about him, but we all know he wont because he's a doper. Sad, but true. |

Albeit using something that ISN'T illegal, not banned and therefore "legally" acceptable.
Still, stupid really cos he was a mighty mountain man without it.

I only got to play one stage until now. Wanted to try out the new sprinting functionality. It seemed very difficult, but I guess it will become more fun to play once I get the hang of it.
(I have to say, though -- compared to other PSP-games, the graphics are awful ) |
