I would like to see Scotland going to the EC, from some of the matches I've seen from them they are real fighters and even though they arent as skilled as Italy and France their determination might pull them trough.
As for England, srry but im with Guus on this one and I hope Russia ends 2ndops:

Hey - I'm quite close to you as well - when England are playing rubbish, I want them to lose

same with me and Holland, they are playing like shit ever since Van Basten came and its a shame that they always manage to win with poor play and what bothers me even more is VB saying 'they did a great job today' after every match even though they sucked:x

Fifa has dropped its policy of rotating the World Cup between continents, opening the way for England to bid to stage the tournament in 2018.
Taken from the BBC website hence the England bias
this means that any country at all can bid

Sporting drew yesterday, opening the way for Porto to extend their already considerable lead at the top of the table by beating Leixões (aka Porto B ) at home today
as for the world cup, the england thing is crap. basically it's fifa's way of keeping their options open so they can give it to the highest bidder. some of you may find this funny, but have no doubt that in a few years, a middle eastern country will be hosting the world cup, just as they host so many other things in so many sports (latest case: the Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix. no, that is not a joke).
there's only one reason for this: money.

Not true ~ Countries belonging to federations which hosted the last 2 world cups cannot hold it.
Id like to see 2018 to go to Australia.

Beckham has become even more useless at Galaxy than he was at Real, and I thought he couldn't get worse after that penalty at the euro 04

Well, I didn't really expect him to score that one, I mean, the English and penalty shootouts...

the dutch are worse. they've only ever won one.
then again, having Seedorf take a penalty is suicide

True, did you see Englynd vs. the Netherlands U.21? I mean it was obvious that this game would take hours!
