I'm pretty sure that the peloton will catch them with 1k to go. It's 6k to go now and the peloton are 45 seconds behind now.

The Vuelta a Asturias is so small- some riders aren't even on tt bikes and there are cars coming past during the time trial! |

I wouldn't know about the cars since I can't watch, but
A. it's not a small race. Even ProTour teams are there
B. They're on road bikes because the time trial has a tough climb, so most opted for a climbing bike
