Christina: I am in London, the board has just evaluated the first half of the season, compared to last year, this is how it looks so far:

Season Highlights:
Bøchman: Overall 2nd in Bayern Tour
Patciks Clausen: Stage win in West-Vlaanderen
Kenny Elissonde: Overall win in Taiwan
Sonder Holst Enger: Two stage wins
Mitchell Lovelock-Fay: 3rd in Australian Championship
Davide Malacarne: Overall 2nd, and stage win in Coppi e Bartali
Stefan Schumacker: Overall win, and stage win in Circuit of Sarthe

A little surprising Pacheco is not on the list, not a great season for him so far.

The management is very impressed with the results. We have better riders for the last part of the season, so this year we are hoping for a stronger 2nd half, compared to last year. We are on the edge off a promotion to World Tour, fingers crossed.

AbhishekLFC: Estonia is not good for us Sad

Never mind this one bad race. The team has done well otherwise over the past month or so Smile

Judging by the Rankings everything seems to be going in the right direction compared to the same stage last year Smile

30/5-2/6 Tour of Estonia

1/6 stage 3/4 Tallinn – Tartu: 198.0

Rasmussen Reports: We are still here in Tallinn

A fortification on Toompea hill, propably date back to the end of the 1 millennium, the castle was conquered by Danish crusades led by Valdemar II in 1219. The Danes sold Tallinn and their other possessions in northern Estonia to the Teutonic Knights in 1346.
Toompea Castle:

Pre-race strategy: We have no set strategy, besides helping Philip Nielsen in the expected mass sprint.

Profile:

i358.photobucket.com/albums/oo24/jonta3/0_zpstl30bsmt.jpg

We get Sebastian Balck in the morning break of 6 riders. The break get about 6 min.

i358.photobucket.com/albums/oo24/jonta3/1_zpsrtqehe8z.jpg

When the peloton starts the hunt, the pace gets very high, with crosswind on the open fields, the peloton breaks over into many pieces, here are less than 40 riders in the 2nd group, when the breakaway is caught.

i358.photobucket.com/albums/oo24/jonta3/2_zps5ujaqd2j.jpg

It comes to a sprint between the 38 riders now in front. The stage is won by Mark Renshaw (Belkin) over Daryl Impey (Vodafone), our best is Philip Nielsen (13). The peloton with about 130 riders comes in at 4’41.

Christina meeting the press at Hotel d' Angleterre Copenhagen:
Despite the rather unimpressive result we have had in Estonia recently, we have invited you here to bring very good news. First of all we have decided to extend the sponsorship, so we can say for sure we have a Pro Cycling Team called Christina Watches at least until the end of 2018, But that is not all the good news we have got, Christina Watches have also been invited to take part in our first Grand Tour:

2/6 stage 4/4 Tartu – Tartu: 187.0

Rasmussen Reports:
We are in Tartu for the last stage of the tour, The gothic cathedral constructtion is thought to have begun in the 13th century and continued until the early 16th century, in the 1600’s the cathedral was damaged by war, and from there fell into ruin.

Cathedral ruins:

Pre-race strategy: With no hope for a GC left, everyone is free to attempt something.

Profile:

The weather is very bad today, cold and rainy. We get Mads Würtz Schmidt in the morning breakaway, they get a max of almost 7 min.

i358.photobucket.com/albums/oo24/jonta3/1_zpsx90uv2fu.jpg

There are a lot of spectators on the closed circuit in Tartu today, and they get a lot of drama, more than 10 riders crash in the sharp curves on the wet roads. Raymond Kreder (Garmin) down:

The breakaway is caught in last second before the sprint. The stage was won by Daryl Impey (Vodafone) over Mark Renshaw (Belkin). Our best was Philip Nielsen (11).

9/6 Pro Race Berlin (cat.1.1)

Berlin – Berlin : 186.0 km

Rasmussen, we are here in the center of Berlin Germany for the Pro Race Berlin. A Single day race, mainly for the sprinters, we have got Pacheco in ok shape for this, and Sondre Holst Enger but not in good shape.
At the beginning of the 9th Century local Slavic tribes formed a small town Berolina, mentioned in Latin chronicles. In the early 12th Century, the Germans conquered the area. The Modern day center of Berlin originated from two city’s founded on each side of Spree river. Cölln first mentioned in a 1237 and Berlin first mentioned in 1244.

Berlin (1912):

i358.photobucket.com/albums/oo24/jonta3/Berlin%201912_zpsl044payd.jpg

Pre-race strategy: We expect a mass sprint, and won’t try to attacks, we will look at Pacheco and Enger’s fitness and chose a train setup, when we get that far.

Roster:
Anders Bjerregård
Angelo Furlan
Davide Malacarne
Francisco José Pacheco
Morten Høberg
Patrick Clausen
Philip Nielsen
Sondre Holst Enger

The morning breakaway is 3 riders, Dennis Van Niekerk (MTN-Qhubeka) Juan José Cobo (Banco Santander) and Luis Alberto Romero (Gourmetfein Simplon).

i358.photobucket.com/albums/oo24/jonta3/1_zpsff86yccs.jpg

One of the race favorites Roger Kluge, is down, Team REWE doesn’t send teammates back to help, they decides to bet on Marcel Meisen. Kluge has to close the cap alone with just 55 km to the finish.

i358.photobucket.com/albums/oo24/jonta3/2_zpsyel5gvii.jpg

The breakaway is over at about 7,5 km to the line, only 22 riders are left in the front group of sprinters and lead-out. We have got a fine setup ready, with 4 riders.

i358.photobucket.com/albums/oo24/jonta3/3_zpshi8gaucr.jpg

The race is won in a close sprint, Kris Boeckmans (Vacansoleil) over Francisco José Pacheco. On a side note Roger Kluge comes in as number 83.

i358.photobucket.com/albums/oo24/jonta3/4_zpsotv6miok.jpg
