Poljanski (Tinkoff) is doing a good Vuelta a España too
Indeed! He already has decent MO though. But he might need a slight boost aswell..
But we'll probably all agree that Jesper Hansens 66 MO is way too low.. |

For Hansen and Poljanski, any rider to be a decent domestique in the mountains needs to be at least 73 and to be a really good domestique he needs at least 76, I've noticed that Luis Leon Sanchez has been riding well and one of the last men for Astana and his mtn stat is only around 72/73 and Visconti as well I think is around 73. This kind of indicates that the really good domestiques like Porte, Fuglsang and Kreuziger are not there, so these guys are filling in and acting like the last men, so an increase is needed but with caution.
I was all for Purito being knocked down to 79 but he's riding really well again and so his old 80-81 should be back on.
Dumoulin will be interesting to upgrade, as he seems to be really good on steady mountains but not good on steep ones, but he is pretty good on steep hills. I think his climbing could be down to the fact that he's going to be very good at riding week long stage races but not great on 3 week ones, but he still has a few days to show us what he can do. |

An other rider who deserves an upgrade is Majka, he needs to be 80 in MO. He is as good as riders like Pinot in the mountains and not far from Aru and Landa... |

If i remember correctly Sagan has 73 in MO. Either he is degraded a bit or Jesper Hansen gets 75 or 76 in MO. Anything helse would be plain stupid, Sagan would never have been able to go like Hansen did in this Vuelta. Same goes for Poljanski who i think is around same lvl as Hansen |

But Aru and Landa have already had a tough Giro. Much like Quintana, Valverde and Froome already had a tough Tour. In this Vuelta, I think you can only really compare him to Rodriguez, both have had a relaxed season so far.
Both Hansen and Poljanski need a decent update of course.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

I think in La Vuelta some cyclist usually show straingly levels. In other terms, there will be a nearly new version of the expansion pack?? |

I would say that Majka had a harder Tour then Rodriguez, both helping Contador and going in breaks, and i also think that Aru and Landa should be more fresh in the vuelta then anyone who did anything at all in the tour. |

Dumoulin isn't 78 MO for sure because he did great mostly on hilly stages not mountain stages and also the vuelta isn't done yet so we can't have a proper look at the stats and make changes for now |

Too high for Dumoulin...
Well after today I'd say he's worth around 79 as he's proved he doesn't lose that much time over guys like Aru and Purito (who will go back again I'm sure) These are what I had before the start of the Vuelta and only Dumoulin has been added. If Dumoulin wins the Vuelta then 79 is valid because even at 79 he's still quite a long way behind the top climbers like Froome or Quintana for a Tour de France level.
Chris Froome 83
Nairo Quintana 83
Alberto Contador 82
Vincenzo Nibali 82
Fabio Aru 81
Mikel Landa 81
Alejandro Valverde 81
Thibaut Pinot 80
Richie Porte 80
Tejay Van Garderen 80
Joaquim Rodriguez 79 (Up to 81)
Rafal Majka 79 (Up to 80)
Robert Gesink 79
Rigoberto Uran 79 0 78
Domenico Pozzovivo 79 o 78
Romain Bardet 79
Geraint Thomas 79
Tom Dumoulin 79

I think he also did well on the Andorra stage, which is THE mountain stage. He could drop Valverde, Quintana and Pozzo and could hang on with Chaves(who hang on his wheel at the last climb.)

I got Dumoulin a bit lower as well. Again, he's relatively fresh compared to his competitors. At this point in the season, it makes a huge difference if you already rode a GT or not, especially if you were fighting for a podium like Aru, Landa, Quintana and Valverde did.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

That's all good and well but in 'single race' mode the game can't take into account rider tiredness from previous GT's, I don't play career mode so I can't comment on rider fatigue throughout the year, like whether a rider is going to be weaker in the Vuelta after trying to win the Tour.
I don't see a problem with Dumoulin being 79 and with a high RES stat and a low ACC stat, with this he can compete and go for a podium on the Giro and Vuelta and it's down to the climbers to try and distance him, which is what they're trying to do in real life but they haven't been able to do so which makes 79 valid for him considering that these climbers are 80 and 81.
Aru with Landa's help despite riding the Giro hard should've been able to have taken more time out of Dunoulin than they have. Rodriguez after using the Tour as preparation should've as well but they haven't. Every so many years a new GT contender comes along and it just so happens that time it might be Dumoulin despite his physique suggesting otherwise.
I'm betting Tony Martin is watching this and thinking if Dumoulin can do this then so can I. |

Well now we're speculating of course, but if Dumoulin hadn't crashed out of le Tour, I'd say he wouldn't even get a top 10 there. The fact remains, the Vuelta is about freshness. Both in game as in real life, there's always someone who gets a good results becuase the rest is tired and he's not.
Let's assume all riders results are valid and no one was doping. Horner did not beat Nibali because he was the better climber, but because he hasn't raced much in 2013. One year earlier, Rodriguez completely collapsed toward the end and had to give victory to a fresh Contador. Cobo and Froome was just weird, but again, two riders with very low racedays.
I would say the same is happening now with Dumoulin, he's in good shape, preparing for the worlds, while all his competitors have already riden Giro or Tour. Aru, Landa, Quintana and Valverde had a really tough time there as well. I think 78 should be enough for Dumoulin. He can compete for the podium if you get his fitness right, but he can't come close to the top riders in single race mode.
All this assuming stats are based on career mode of course.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.
