It wasn't Petacchi's fault though. Cavendish was just unlucky in not being able to find a gap.

You must have noticed from the aerial footage the tendency of Petacchi and *Stauff coming from left to right and closing Cavendish.

If offense is the best defence, does it mean that defence is the worst defence?

Cavendish even did not get off the saddle..for final kick. There was no room for that. He choosed a wrong side

He only chose the wrong side because after he chose it, Petacchi chose to drift across.

Im sure Petacchi will be the most pleased with Stauff's sprint

True, and that's why it wasn't Petacchi's fault.

That was correct- smooth experienced rider sprint..with a drift

Also, can Spanish TV drop the west german flag from the graphics.

I have no idea why it fustrates me, but it does.

Id disagree - because if Cavendish hadnt checked his speed when Petacchi drifted. There would have been a crash.

Hell, in PCM we would just see overlapping textures and Cavendish would have won. Ah, video games.. <3

Ok, I'll need to see it from an arial view from further out, but my point was that Cavendish was boxed in by a mixture of Petacchi and Stauff (and i'm not going to entirely blame either).

Indeed - it was the combination of the 2 that left Cavendish stuck.

It`s not the West German flag.
It`s the normal flag together with the eagle emblem, called "federal service flag".
Normally just federal institutions use this flag and Spanish television Smile

I'm about to post in the News in September thread. It's about Sky.

edit: Jolly posted in in the news in August thread

Very happy Petacchi won...and Cav lost...again. The final km was crazy. Who came up with that idea. It's a miracle nobody crashed.

Oh Stauff. Just the other day I was praising him and now he goes and does something this stupid.

What was so stupid? He had an excellent wheel (Petacchi).
But he had not enough power to hold the high speed for that long. But a 4th is probably as much as Stauff can make at the moment. He is still young.
Or did I miss anything else afterwards?
