Smile Yeah I beat Nibali but you know Nibali was Pellizotti´s main help with Basso in the mountains so it´s possible that he didn´t try everything.I´m sure if he attacked in every mountain stage Martin wouldn´t be 2nd.

And thanks a lot!

Rogaland GP

Our last race in May will be the Rogaland GP!After an amazing Giro and a great Bayern Rundfahrt our team will finish this month with this one-day classic. Our team-captain is Lars Ytting Bak while Guldhammer,Goss,Dockx,Grabsch,Hansen and Reynes are his team-mates.
When it comes to a mass sprint Matthew Goss,Vicente Reynes and Grabsch should be able to build a good sprint train. The competition is weak and so Bak should be the big favorite for the win

Team Columbia for the Rogalland GP

Lars Ytting Bak wants to shine today! As I said the competition isn´t really strong but this will be the danger. We shouldn´t unterestimate the other teams. We really don´t know anything about the race process up to here.Maybe there will be some moves in the end or it comes to a mass sprint which would be great, too because Matthew Goss is in a good shape

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/2-67.jpg
With more than 20 kilometres to go Schmitz made a move which was countered by our team-captain Bak

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/3-66.jpg
After many attacks, a leading group was built with only 5 kilometres to go.Schmitz,Bak and Van Dousselaere were in front of many other groups

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/4-66.jpg
On the last 2 kilometres Christopher Jones came really fast from behind and he could take the lead while Bak got his slipstream

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/5-66.jpg
The sprint began with a great move by Schmitz.Bak tried to follow him but Schmitz was really fast!

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/6-61.jpg
It´s too late in the end!Schmitz takes the win in front of Bak and Van Dousselaere.Bak was the fastest in the end but finally the finish-line came to early but it´s still a good result for us

Thanks Freitas and valverde! I´m going to post a short Giro summary in a few minutes

Just a short summary

Three weeks, three hard weeks, 21 stages, 4 time trial, 5 mountain arrivals and 12 flat or hilly stages! It was an amazing Giro d´Italia 2010 not only for our Team Columbia but also an exciting one with many surprising moments. There were many big moments for us, such as Cavendish´s stage wins or Tony Martin´s. But the Giro was maybe the biggest stage race I´ve ever made! 21 stages as I already said and no one of them were bad for Columbia, no one of them were too hard for Colbumia. Well, maybe the last stage was too hard for Martin but it wasn´t enough to destroy our biggest Grand Tour! It began with an amazing performance by Tony Martin at the first time trial and it was continued by many hard mountain arrivals which were hard for the young talent Martin. But he impressed not only you but also me! When he countered Pellizotti´s or Garzelli´s attacks it was a great feeling watching him. But we have to add that our team also had a lot of luck because there was no crash, no unlucky moment.
Well, it´s hard to add something now because it was so great, seeing Martin and his fantastic team in Italy this year. Albasini, Siutsou, Pinotti, Cavendish, Eisel, Saramotins, Gretsch and Lewis they all did a great job and they really deserve this great results, especially by Tony Martin, who made the tour of his life! When I take a look at this year´s Giro d´Italia, I´m really looking forward to the Tour de France with Maxime Monfort and Michael Rogers because I´m sure they can reach a lot there!
On this note, thanks for you support at the Giro! I really hope you and I will continue like that! Thanks!
