Cancellera was stronger then I expected
Cunego on the contrary

Nice podium though.(they all deserved their medals)

pozzato, basically the most stupid cyclist around

RIP WW. Gone but not forgotten

What a race! for me best of the year by far. A deserved winner, a super Australia team (Sulzberger impressed me, he has lots of time pulling the peloton, at a point i thought he was done but he returned for a bit more). Weird that Cadel has a super win with a true team support, he should leave Silence. Don't understand all the Cancellara was the best, he was better than i expected and very strong but not the strongest. Last note to Kolobnev making 2º for 2º time in 3 years, another case of a rider that should change team.

Surely that race alone was an argument against sprinters courses where a break goes out, it comes back, it ends in a sprint. hurrah!

The worlds usual give me excitement that no other race does, it's a great race. Shame about the next 2 courses though.

(Oh and 2 big racing days left in the year unfortuantly Sad )

Unless he's joking on his twitter, David Harmon is on the job market.

i really wanted to see cancellara taking the double

it was dissapointing me seeing sanchez, valverde and the others holding his wheel and dont starting to attack.

but... congratulations to Evans, he really deserved it. =)

Kauda_Den
weird ass world for me Frown

i didn't expect Breschel to hang on that far , must been do to the steady, but rising, pace that was ridden.
Cancellara did good, in my eyes deserved the win, but MAN he DID ride like an amateur in the final - even Cancellara is NOT that strong !

when Vino attacked i actually said: "oh no, anyone but him" did'n expect i would get Evans instead .. BAAAH !
just can't STAND that guy ! he has NO personality like a champion, great rider, but everytimes he wins, gives me a weird feeling

It was a bit of an outburst though Grin
Only because he was so excited with Cadel winning...
If he goes please not Carlton Kirby Grin

I don't want him to go, he's got a great voice for commentating, and he's quite good at it. Eurosport have no good commentators other than the Harmon/Kelly duo, they got chemistry as a team, more than Duffers/Kelly ever had.

Keep Harmon, i'm going to do some investigating though to see what is going on. I hope Harmon stays, but i'm on the Eurosport consumer panel and i need to write an email to them anyways so.. yeah.

Yes i agree... he's growing on me as a comentator... at first i was unsure but he does bring a good insight into it...
Also the excitement due to his love of the sport...
I agree it works because he has so much respect for Sean Kelly.. never fails to put a plug in to what he has won Grin

Funny fact about Johnny (Hoogerland): The national coach told him to 'Do nothing in the first 150km, or I'll drive you into the boarding!'
And guess what Johnny did at about kilometer 153? That's right, he was off! Pfft

@wyman they're actually good friends out of the commentary box too, Sean is Harmon's kids godfather.

eurosport showed the podims for the TTs, and not for the road race? that really is bollocks.
i guess U20 football world championship group phase match is more important than cycling world championships medal ceremony.
If offense is the best defence, does it mean that defence is the worst defence?

Kolobanev has been amazing with national races..
Fact from Olympics..Taaramäe told he has serious problems with Kolobanev at the pack..he just kicked-pushed-spitted..and was throwing personal insult's. All the way..you dont belong here..get lost.

didn't expect that from Kolobnev, I've always seen him as one of thoose quiet Russians that don't hurt anyone Pfft
