The first rider to complete the course is Nathaniel English of Kenda 5 Hour Energy and he would set the time of 9m 18s

He would be followed by many others before his time gets beaten and that title would go to Ben Day of UnitedHealthcare who would better him by two seconds

We just took this stage very lightly as we had our sights on the flat stages for Serebryakov, so he came in 12 seconds off the pace and would end up in 154th place on the day

Jasha Sütterlin of the Thüringer Energie Team would equal the fastest time

Many more riders came across the finish line including Nikolay Mihaylov of CCC Polsat - Polkowice

Connor O'Leary of Bontrager - Livestrong Team

Jacobus Venter of MTN - Qhubeka

Christopher Baldwin Bissell Cycling

Lawson Craddock of Bontrager - Livestrong Team

And TT specialist Scott Zwizanski of Team Optum p/b Kelly Benefit Strategies, but who would get there hands on the Leaders Jersey

Well definitely not the best day for the team, i know i asked them not to waste there energy on today's stage but i never expected it them to take it literally.
We do have ambitions in this race on home soil, so i expect them all to bounce back tomorrow

These six riders have got themselves an advantage of 5m 41s, they are Sutterlin/Thuringer Energie Team, Brown/Bontrager Livestrong, Hamilton/Jelly Belly Cycling, Mooney/Jamis Sutter Home, Averin/Amore & Vita and Leibovitz/Chipotle First Solar

They are riding at quite a high pace which may come back to haunt them later when the race nears its climax in Fayetteville

As the leaders start the climb up to Mount Gaylor, Unitedhealthcare send Menzies to the front of the peleton to quicken the pace a bit

The advantage is just above the three minute mark

Team Exergy are now laying down a fast pace at the front as they try to make contact with the six leaders who still have one and a half minutes lead

The game looks up for the break as the peleton are in fast mode and now have them in their sight

Once again its the Team Type 1 train that's leading the way as it looks to spring Serebryakov to yet another victory

But Rodriguez of Team Exergy has other ideas and tries to sprint by himself

But he is beaten to the line by the Russian Serebryakov of Team Type 1 who at the moment can do no wrong

Wow, What a difference a day makes, yesterday we were all down because of the time trial performance's and then today we are celebrating a stage win and the race lead

Its been attack after attack since the race started and nobody has managed to get more than twenty seconds up the road as the peleton wants to keep everything close with it being a small stage today

Rosskopf/Team Type 1 is keeping it all together for his team mate and race leader Alexander Serebryakov who is just a few places from the front as he tries to stay out of trouble

De Haan/Cyclingteam Jo Piels kept going after the sprint and was later joined by BuchacekWhirlpool Author and they got no more than fifty seconds up the road but are now battling to keep in front as the pack turns the screw

The two leaders are holding the peleton at bay with a lead of forty seconds which would be enough to get them the race lead but will they survive

They were caught just before the five kilometre to go banner and once again its Team Type 1 showing its strength at the front if proceedings

And its the yellow jersey who is leading out the sprint under the red kite

He is just too quick for the opposition as he claims another win and strengthens his grip on the Race Lead

That was just awesome teamwork today which paid dividends in the end, at last our sprint train is showing signs of becoming a force to be reckoned with and while Alexander is in this type of form we hope it will continue for a long time yet
