2006. But no worries, he was just a trainee.
At Dirty Corti's Barloworld however he has no such excuse Pfft

EDIT: And speaking of Polish-Canadian Mazur, a former Junior World Champion retired shortly after from the sport and seemed very bitter about it. Said he wouldn't be given a contract by anyone unless he took drugs.

He complained especially about his 11th place at the Dauphiné prologue. "I know for a fact every guy in the top 10 was on drugs. I could've been an instant star. Instead I was nobody"

Star is stretching it, but he does have a point

I'll pretend I had no idea about Lang and Posthuma, but the other 11 guys in the top 12 (I know Mazur mentioned top 10, but I wanted to include Moreau Pfft) are quite obvious cases, so he, indeed, has a point.

Ullissi's show here. Great result by Rogina and the possible future star in Manuel Bongiorno.

Francesco Bongiorno was one of the most highly rated u23s that turned pro this time around, so not a surprise there. Zoidl-berg on the other hand...

Come on, you can't be suspicious of every single good result someone gets. Zoidl is very talented, even though he is already 24. He is really dominating Austrians national racing league if he wants to. That was also his problem in his first career years. Partying almost every weekend, living his life as young guy. With his above average talent, he still was able to beat many other national riders. As i know him a little, i can say last year he got more serious about training and managed wining National TT Championship, finished 14th at World TT Championship, wining national racing league and got some other good results. As riding for a minor team, this race is probably his higlight in spring, so he is in good form, while others are maybe not in that good shape. So not really surprising for me, even though its a very good result for him and his team.

That's the kind of comment that makes me want to punch in the face person who made it. WHEN DID I MENTION SUSPICION? IT'S ENTIRELY YOUR ASSUMPTION.

This is why I post way less here since about 2 years ago. Anything I say people immediately insist I must be talking about doping.

If I say the weather is good someone asks what I mean by that. I MEAN THE WEATHER IS GOOD. IF I SAY ZOIDL WAS A SURPRISE, I MEAN HE WAS A SURPRISE. Then I'm painted as the guy who is always suspicious of every rider when most of the time it's people trying hard to read something that's not there.

I re-read that post twice before posting to make sure nobody could possibly take that as a doping allegation. Yet somebody found a way to.

I'm sorry, this is not directed at you specifically. It's a general comment on something that really really frustrates me around here.

I think most have noticed that my posts over last year or so have become quite angry. That's the reason.

Ok, i am really sorry than. I misunderstood. It also has nothing to do with you, as i am not long enough here to have different ideas of the different posters here. I have just read your comments about Gilbert yesterday, where i think you are generally spot on, and assumed you meant it in a doping related way. Also with Zoidl i may be a bit biased. Sorry again.

Cheers Smile

Zoidl's best result so far, definitely. He was promising a few years ago and failed to deliver, but judging by what you say it seems he's on the right track.

It means you're praising Sky's performances. That is odd.

Posthuma is a pretty obvious doper. Became pro in 2004, had some great first years and was a good domestique and took his wins in small flattish stage races up until 2008 (including Ruta del Sol)...

then after austria rumors and blood passport his career collapsed completely and he turned into a nobody and barely usefull domestique who DNF-ed most races.
Oh yeah, and what was the team he spent most of his career.. Rabobank Pfft

Miguel98
Lang maybe. Spent most of his carrer at Gerolsteiner and after he left he ran out of results.
