Van Persie was doing it a lot,i agree, but he has growed up from it and didnt do something like that for a long time. Hopefully Suarez will grow up too...
But what i find worse is this assault on Arteta from Henderson. One of the most brutal challenges i have ever seen in PL, straight elbow to his head

Look on it from the other angle, this is not a way how to play football. If there is a player in your way you cannot simply trash him with your elbow/shoulder, intentionally or not ;
Arteta ended in hospital and had to been removed from the pitch with oxygen mask set, this had to be the red card even if it was done accidentelly...

That's a nicely misleading view you've got there
Henderson is sprinting towards the ball. Arteta then starts running in the path Henderson is running into. Henderson decides to then try and go in front of Arteta, meaning he has to angle his run to the right. That change in direction means he needs to throw out his left arm to balance himself, given he's running quickly. This arm accidentally comes into contact with Arteta. It's purely accidental
Nothing in comparison to this foul from last week in the German league, where it was intentional imo. Just look on the leg he kicks and where the ball is.
Great weekend in the Premier league, City beaten which is always nice (i still insist on United being the champions) and Gunners again showing their spirit with the late goal against Newcastle
We are only 1 point behind our arch-rivals now, who would have thought that month ago? Go Gunners!
It would be an important move for him, I think. As the article says:
Cologne currently sit 14th in the Bundesliga, with Podolski having scored more goals (16) than all of his team-mates put together (15).
He has much more quality than anyone else at Cologne. Plus, he has no chance to play international. Which he should, also looking at his concurrence in the national team (Götze, Özil, Schürrle, Reus, Müller...).
As a Cologne fan and grown up in the same town as Podolski
Yes our (Cologne) squad sucks even though the team is better then our mediocre teams from the 90ies which at least stayed in the Bundesliga and was a team and not a bunch of individuals but thats the Premier League thread so:
I wouldn't say that this transfer (nothing signed yet but just a question of time) is a sign that van Persie would leave, as I think van Persie is more complete/all-rounded than Podolski.
If Wenger would like to build up Podolski as a van Persie 2.0 that wouldn't work, in my opinion.
I would say that Arsenal got a lot more offensive power with Podolski and I would see Podolski as a player that just would like to bring the ball to the net very fast.
He likes to shoot and with his shooting technique and power it's clear why he shoots very often and I think that's good in the Premier League as I think the goalies aren't that good compared to Germany
He is also strong in tacklings (even though sometimes he doesn't help out in the defense like he normally should - national team) and can hold the ball which is also important especially in the Premier League.
There are a lot of these ... people who say that Podolski can't make the jump as he struggled in Munich but he was younger and maybe a bit naive and was trained by Klinsmann with his buddhas and just training fitness rather how they should play
After Klinsmann was fired and Heynckes trained them, Podolski was good but that was too late
I think he fits perfectly into the Premier League, my only concern is if he is able to forget the Bundesliga playing style quickly as the Premier League is much faster, but he is strong and is used to rough playing style (at Bergheim in the youth, if you would see the games here.. It's like kicking the others rather than the ball)

Seems probable
Surely the only reason they would want another attacker when van Persie is doing great on his own and their midfield still misses replacements for Fabregas and Nasri.

Disagree. If Wenger's plan is to sell Van Persie and having Podolski as the main striker then it has fail written all over it. For me it looks more like he's buying a pretty versatile attacker who is able to be VP's main back-up and could even play in the left wing, instead of a Gervinho who has been (at least in the Arsenal games I've watched this season, which admittedly aren't too many) a bit poor.
hehe, quite important for the team.
And time to say one positive thing about Suarez for once,
how humbly and nice to pass Gerrard so he could get his 3rd instead of hunting goals him self!
Long live Captain Fantastic!

I was going to write exactly the same, i completly agree. Podolski move is not about Van Persie (more about Chamakh and maybe another players going out). Of course you cant never be sure, but Van Persie will stay imo, he is a true gunner and according to his recent comments he is still dedicated to help the club achieve something after the long drought.
And the club certainly has the finances to give him a better wage and bring another players in (rumors are saying Wenger will be operating with maybe 40mil. pounds and he will sell some high-earnes who are not playing well).
I see only two possible options which can give RvP some hard nights thinking about them -Barca or Real
Last two matches in Premier League United played and opponents get a red. Now in 39th Wolves palyer get red for two yellows, one deserved, second one no way.
Seems everything is properly set for United to win title again , ehh

And in the last 20 years, the arguments have always been the same: United is a bad team, they only get results due to luck or bad referees. Would be nice with some new arguments from time to time

True though, heh Although United team is playing absolute shite this season, Man City are doing even worse now, the thing began about month ago and they are going downhill. Tbh you should have the title before the City match if everything goes right, as it surely is going so far
Now wait for the summer where Villa is finally going to offload Hesky, his current wages being 65,000£ a week, thank god he's going...
Hopefully we are going get rid of a lot of deadwood and rely on our good youths and buy some decent players, would love someone from Germany like Blasczykowski or some Bilbao players
Dream on though, dream on with McLeish I rather will see some old, Scottish players, to be honest hopefully we are going to get rid of McLeish first.
