and guess what...those people are treating your posts exactly as they treated the dozens of posts in the past saying "Basso is innocent", "Ullrich is the victim here" "Vinokourov is honest". can you guess how many of those turned out to be wrong?
Does it mean we have to treat ANYONE as if they were like those dopeheads?
nope. it means I don't agree with attacking others just because people think differently from you (and this you is generic, not personal)

He is the best and had to endure ridicolous attacks by Stuttgart and Eisenmann. I'm glad he won, well deserved.
shut up..and start digging..you have to bury. Lot of people at medal ceremony..and over half PCMdaily forum members Yes, those people should be ashamed of themselves.
They really are ignorant.
Who's being ignorant?
You're being ignorant to the fact that Bettini is accused of doping use. Oh yeah????? Do you have any facts? No
Is there any ongoing research against Bettini? No
The only thing that has happened was some stupid rumor of ZDF that he gave doping to Sinkewitz. But Sinkewitz denied, his lawyers denied too. So the story is obviously bullshit
If you don't know the facts and keep talking like that, you are being ignorant. |

Right.
Who was it again that refused to sign the full UCI anti-doping agreement while being the current World champion?
I don't remember his name, but that really puts cycling in a great light, doesn't it?

I'm not probably agree with the way he's expressed it here, but what he says matches perfectly with what I think. |

I just had to laugh at that. Just because him and his lawyers denied it, it is obviously bullshit.
So i could murder some1 and just get myself and lawyers to deny it and its all fine and dandy i obviously didn't do it. |

Seems like the Dutch coach Egon van Kessel isn't too happy with the riders' performances. He was very angry at Kroon, because Kroon didn't accept his role as a team mate (not captain). "In 2007, Kroon has managed a 4th place in Ronde van Vlaanderen - that's it. With performances like that you can maybe become the captain of Zimbabwe"

do you know that what you've written is completely without sense?
If you murder someone it's obvious that your word is meaningless.... but here we are talking about his OWN WORDS!!!
It the world worked as you say, I may write a newspaper article stating that you admitted you saw the full French team having a syringe party!
Comparing a murder with a declaration is one of the dumbest comparisons i have ever read... really.
And apart from that, Ruben was just right. That's the point. No formal accusations are being made on Bettini, so you can't say a word about him.
Everyone is innocent until we find evidence.
We found STRONG evidence for Vino, Moreni, Kashe, and so on, so it's useless to say they are innocent.
But you have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING against the World Champion.
If you don't like how the Italian team owned your favorite team, sorry but there's nothing i can do. |

Calm down everyone. This is getting just too funny. I too, have my own opinion: I'm not saying he (Bettini) is a doper until there is proof. But I don't like Bettini. And I don't trust him. I don't know why, I just do.

Okay, so the fact that Bettini simply denies to sign the anti doping document is not suspicious at all?
What about Sinkewitz' accusations? Yes, his lawyer said that Sinkewitz only had said that _unofficially_ but that doesn't make it less interesting.
Neither can you deny that Bettini has been a patient of Luigi Cecchini. The same guy who has "treated" guys like Bjarne Riis, Rolf Sørensen, Ivan Basso, Tyler Hamilton, etc..
And what about the documents which were found in July which states that there obviously was systematic doping at Mapei back in 2001 (yes, Bettini rode there in 2001)?
Bettini is a guy from the doping age. It would be really weird if he had never used doping. And it would also be weird if he had suddenly stopped using dope.
And even if he isn't doped (let's hope he isn't), he's still a bad example for young riders. He's certainly not a guy who goes forward in the fight against doping. Shouldn't a World Champion be a good example to young riders? I think he should. Bettini isn't.

It is suspicious you're right. But you can't say officially that he is a doper.
