I think it would be a funny sprint on the champs elysee without Cav and Co. ! Rule is rule |

How awesome would it be if they DQ all the riders hors délai. It's not going to happen, but such a small peloton could cause madness tomorrow.
Yeah there's no point in having a limit if it's not going to be enforced. Even if it means only 70 people finish the tour. Wouldn't be good for sprinters though.
Nah, the rule actually says that no more of 20% of the starters can be kicked out. Those who didn't make the time limit will just lose 20 points in the green jersey competition.
I'd love if they kicked them out, but they just can't.

Cavendish will have a hard day tomorrow if the pace is high already on Telegraphe. If he misses the time limit today, then it will be really hard tomorrow.

Rules actually state that if more than 20% of the riders are outside the time then the Jury can decide to allow them back into the race.

Of HTC only Peter Velits made the time, the other 7 were with Cav.

Expect Movistar to complain, but an 88 rider group finished together, so if they complain, it will have to be about the scale of the penalty

Gilbert's chances is now down to 0. He had a small chance if Cavendish misses the time limit on Alpe d'Huez, but if that happens now, Rojas will win.

and with 20 points penalty expected for tomorrow, is going to be very close!
btw the rule is dumb, cav might ask people to slow down so that more than 20% of the pack come to the line with him. |

The time limit is the most pointless rule in the TdF... so what if alot of riders finishes outside it, then they didn't do well enough!
Two question:
1. What happens if a rider finished outside the limit, but still ahead of the bus and the bus is allowed back in? Does the lonely rider get to start to?
2. What if there's someone who can't even keep up with the bus and say 7-8 riders finishes just behind the bus? Would they be eliminated? If they would be then that's an amazing show of UNfareness. That's like saying "none of you were good enough, but because they were 50 riders and you only 8 then you won't get to start.
Either enforce the rule or get rid of it because this way is just pointless. It shouldn't matter how many riders finishes outside the limit, it is nothing more then just a kick in the gonads to those who cam outside the limit on a previous stage. |

And it would just be fair imo. 20 points are a joke actually. Winning the green jersey like this isn`t fair against Rojas, who is always in the limit. He could also save energy and wait for the gruppetto, but he isn`t. He spends important energy to stay inside. |

They can't complain about that either, at least not now. This stage was worth 20 green jersey points, so that's the penalty. If anything, they should have complained pre-Tour about the unfair points system.

New record in lowest number of cyclists finishing Tour de France, the previous number was 170, if I'm correct. |

Gilbert's chances is now down to 0. He had a small chance if Cavendish misses the time limit on Alpe d'Huez, but if that happens now, Rojas will win.
The fight between Cav and Rojas will be decided on Champs. Awesome
