Gilbert is focussing on the Ardennes classics, like Rin says.
I think Ronde van Vlaanderen suits him also (he was 3rd last year). I also think that Fleche Wallone doesn't suit him so well (just see last year's scenario, when he got dead after being supported by Cadel Evans, who in the end proved to be much stronger than Gilbert in this type of classic). The Mur de Huy is just too long and too tough for him. Amstel and Liege maybe. He was 4th in both last year.

Agreed CT. He was just sucking wheels all day, even when Chainel was dropped from the main group.

2. Philippe Gilbert (OmegaPharma - Lotto) BEL
3. Andriy Grivko (Astana) UKR
4. Jens Mouris (Vacansoleil Pro Cycling Team) NED
5. Bobbie Traksel (Vacansoleil Pro Cycling Team) NED 41"
6. Luca Paolini (Acqua & Sapone) ITA

Heh. Rmember the insane danish chicken fans at the start of the season yelling in the PCMDaily DB stats topic that he was way underrated and would be back to being great this season?
He lost over 2 minute. In a 6.6km mountain prologue.

He's like Boonen, though. After each race, he comes up with an excuse.
... or actually, it's the same excuse every time. Apparently, he's been sick for the entire year. |

Will 36 minutes ago:
Ha! April Fools! We all know that Farrar probably finished in 2nd as usual!

I heard (don't remember where) that he was dealing with some physical issues last year, just normal older age ones, like back and knee problems, and that a lot of it has been solved. I wouldn't be surprised if he puts in some good results this year. |

If Westra didn't lose 3 minutes yesterday in the final 10km, he would've won the Panne.
Millar can thank the gods for the rain and wind yesterday. |

So basically, If Westra was a better rider, he would have won ... (you could say that for a lot of riders surely)

Thing is, he decided to take off his rain jacket. Hadnt he done that, there (most likely) wouldn't have been a problem. |
